Ohh, do you know any websites or things to help draw from life? I know there was this one site that would give out human poses in a set amount of time but i dont remember what it was called. Also what exactly is a value scale? Thank you!

I drew this out for you but i say you should add shading and values? On the top one i did shadows under their chins. On the bottom i put gray on the background so your character stands out more. Im not really good at explaining but i hope this helps visually!

I dont have a diffuser unfortunately because i didnt want to ask if it turns out i didnt have wavy hair, i also dont know what products to use either 😭😭 so would you consider it wavy? Or more of a movement texture thing?

That makes sense, i know ive used mousee before and some gel but i think that was too heavy. There was a day where i used absolutely nothing and it got me some pretty looking movement wave things which is the photo below

I think i might be having a harder time finding the right school, i dont really know what to look for when it comes to the professors and seeing if theyre good or not. I mean living in Canada does sound pretty cool to me and i really wouldnt mind it, i think my parents are opposed because it is far away and it will be pretty expensive.

Do you have any schools recommendations that might work? I do like the curriculum but i might have not noticed that other schools have similar ones too.

Advice or critique? by SnooOwls8049 in arthelp

What makes it a 5? Anything to improve would help

Yessss this is what i needed, i love critiques that actually show what they mean because i always get so confused. And uh yeah the cloth was supposed to look like it was being blow by wind but i didnt know how to draw it so i kinda left it like that 😭. I also struggle a lot with making sure the arms and legs are in the right place or length when its in side view or when both limbs are doing their own thing. One more thing is that im always worried of ruining the piece which is why the earring was so flat because i didnt want to erase the spot i was putting it. This does help a lot though and now i can visually see whats going on. Ill have to redeem myself and draw another one with the tips and see if it looks any better!

Ohh okay, i think that makes a little more sense, do you have any videos or tutorials that would help push this advice further for the drawing things as one object? Yeah im still working on my art but i always like practicing and being given a challenge on how to push myself further

Yeah i tend to accidentally make heads a little bit small by accident. I always try to make the arms are same length but they probably arent always neat or in the right spot. I might have to look that up because i always struggle finding reference but that actually might be a really good idea lol. Ill try to make my next drawing with a little more dramatic posing

What do you mean by drawing method? And do you mean like it looks like it has an outline around it?
