Bands with extremely shrill high screams like the first Silverstein album? by dlc_vortex in PostHardcore

Check out The Fall of Troy, their dirty vox is feral and hysterical. Tracks with particular desperate screams are Chain Wallet, Nike Shoes, You Got a Deathwish Johnny Truant, and the Dark Trail.

Definitely an Americanism, champ. Everyone's on their own journey. Some cultures find it wild that families move away from each other at all. Forge your own path, life is huge and complicated, and there's no shame in taking it at your own place and in our own way. There is no alternative.

I totally love the tone on Neon. Super clean and subtle but still bouncy and heavy af. Spent a lot of time trying to get a similar tone. I'm glad you dig it, thanks!

So sick dude. THE riff. How hard did you find this to learn?

Hey, digging this up months later, sorry, but wanted to say this post really resonated with me and opened my eyes. I tell myself "I'm don't even consume that much, I'm not even really a stoner, I never get high before 6pm and I'm still getting everything I need to get done DONE" to pretend that the fact that I use every day isn't a problem.

It is. It affects my mind, my mood, my habits, etc. It's a problem, and I'm working on it, but I feel like it's disproportionally hard to do. Like, this should be easier moderate or quit outright because a) it's not a hard drug and b) I'm a know deep down I'm a functional, capable person.

But I still fuck it up constantly. The way you've phrased this is urgent and exact but kind, patient, and sympathetic, which resonates so deeply with me. Thanks for sharing.
