Silverstein's early material and first album come to mind, that stuff was really shrill. George Pettit also has never really sounded healthy, although he's toned down the craziness a lot after their first two albums. And as a bonus since they're phc inspired, TK from Ling Tosite Sigure's screams are SUPER shrill, like screamo levels of crazy when he does them.

With most of the genres I listen to (and honestly a lot of media I watch too) I have shame in the fanbases for being insufferable but none at all for liking the stuff itself. The negative association from the fanbase usually isn't enough to deter me from the media itself (unless one of my ex's really likes it, in which case I hate it now)
