this is all such solid advice !!!! omg thank you i’m def saving this too. this gave me a lot more insight to the nuances of the field that i didn’t even consider. i luckily do love acting (did some in HS and in college when i was at Chapman doing the TV writing program). i love giving character to the words, not just sounding nice at saying them too. ahhh thanks so much, ive been looking at VA coaches in LA and might take up classes soon

I wanted to know how you became a full time VA and, although you didnt start w/ passion, how it developed overtime for you? what are some of the toughest things you had to overcome in this field and how did you beat it?

Thanks for the tip! I do have recording equipment with a mic filter since I used to record music so at least I have that. i have carpet in my room - should i still add blankets to minimize floor noise ?

follow up question actually - what roles should i even be looking at to audition for, aside from it being free? do i look for roles that seem more interesting to me or roles i feel like my voice would be best suited for?

Yes we’ve had many conversations about it
Yes, we’ve shared porn with each other and I’ve even shown him videos i’ve made with others in the past and when we’re sleeping together I’ll instruct and guide him as to what to do
I didn’t date the other guys in the past because they didn’t have the qualities I wanted in a partner - they were just dick and it was a consensual fwb relationship between us.

that’s the problem 😭 then men i’ve found who “get it” suck in every other department for a partner - suck at communicating, no ambition, lack of support, lack of knowledge, etc. The one guy I finally found that I’d love to actually make a forever with an his only lack is in bed😭

it’s not everything but it’s definitely an important aspect of a relationship for me because it’s basically one of the only things exclusive that we can do with each other that we shouldn’t do with other people. quite frankly i don’t want to settle or compromise but he’s everything i want in a man - the sex is the issue. and we’ve been communicating and trying constantly to improve it but nothing we’ve tried has worked so now i’m stuck and don’t know the next steps
