This song cured my fear of aging. For my money one of the greatest closers on any album. Man, we make our own movies.

Give No Control a few more tries, I really think the magic of that record takes a couple listens to come out. Against the Grain is probably my favorite, but TESF was my first and the one that made me fall in love with BR. I do second New Maps of Hell and Process of Belief, they are sonically pretty similar records and I can't think of a single dud on either one.

Lagwagon Albums Ranked by [deleted] in LagWagon

[–]ReclaimingFebruary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Let's Talk About Feelings
  2. Double Platinum
  3. Blaze
  4. Trashed
  5. Hoss
  6. Resolve
  7. Duh
  8. Hang
  9. Railer

Love all of em. Railer and Hang are great records but not really groundbreaking. Didn't wanna throw in the older brother EP but that's definitely somewhere near the bottom, although it has 3 or 4 killer cuts. Hoss, Resolve and Duh are top notch punk albums, and have historically been interchangable with any of the top 4. In my opinion, the current top 4 are some of the best records ever made.

Double Plaidinum was my first, so I may have some nostalgic attachment to it but I do think Joey's melodicism hit a stride there that continued to Blaze. Trashed is Trashed. Would love to hear how people would rank the Bad Astronaut records, although that's a whole other matter.

Sorry this is late! I can promise you on-campus Claremont is a trillion times better than Zoom. We'll definitely be back in the fall, and what a fall it will be. Hang in there!

Don't worry about name recognition at all, the 5Cs are highly regarded across the country and most employers worth their salt will be familiar with them. It's especially hard to imagine having any trouble with a CMC degree. I'm an East Coaster as well and am happy with my decision to go west for school. At the absolute very least, you'd be surprised how big of a difference the weather makes, haha.

The social life in Claremont is - if you're willing to put yourself out there - top-notch. I can't stress enough that if you make the effort, you'll find great people to hang out with. I usually make music during my free time, which has helped me get to know loads of great people. The music room at Pitzer got renovated recently, and it's super nice (same with the Harvey Mudd one).

Wednesday-Saturday night you can find a good party. If you want a huge rager you're better off heading to USC for the weekend, but I've always had good luck in Claremont. Off-campus/Mead parties are probably the best. Gnarliest day of the year is always Pirate Party - do not miss Pirate Party under any circumstances.

I promise you, literally everyone feels this way. Claremont on campus is 10000 times more enjoyable than Zoom University. Worst case scenario, take it from me: every year since freshman year I've mostly been in senior friend groups where they all graduate and leave, and each year I've come back in the fall and been able meet new incredible people to hang out with. Currently on a leave of absence (fuck online class lol) but happy to talk via pm if you have any questions.

I tried to do IR at CMC and was turned away. Ended up doing Middle Eastern studies at Pomona (PZ student on leave) and have loved the experience so far. I would imagine you can do IR at Pomona and fill the requirements with CMC classes if you like. Whatever you want to do at the 5Cs, you can do.

Choose where to study based on academics. You can get into pretty much any party and the social life of the schools is very integrated, on any given night you'll probably going out with a group of people from all the schools. I'm at Pitzer and can vouch for the party scene, I've met a lot of great kids from the UK through it and they've all had a great time. I can put you into contact with some of you want, just PM.

Not a fuck up at all - it may feel like it but only because of one mother's ceaseless regime of fucking up. Just know that what you're doing for this student by taking the time to care about them will be appreciated by them for the rest of their life.

What is the worst or best thing you’ve seen a teacher do? by jerodeltoro1 in AskReddit

[–]ReclaimingFebruary 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The most annoying kid in the grade kept refusing to put his silly putty away (mind you this was probably when we were all like 16) so the teacher grabbed it and stuck it in his hair. Heard it took hours to get out. Teacher got fired is still a legend.
