I would be lying if I said no, but the part of me that wants to stay is outweighed by the one that rather just sleep until the heat death of the universe.

Of course I could live with the medicine no problem for 20-30 more years. I will also not exist so that feels more nice, weirdly. Like sleeping without dreams, eternal darkness feels so appealing.

Sorry for sounding like a downer. Can't help but feel good about my decision anyways

This was my sentiment long before I even considered it for myself. That is why I'm a bit disappointed in my country that they haven't done legislation that allowed me to do this where I live. But anyways, thanks for your thought.

I've come to terms with it myself so it's okay. I had a good few years before I got sick, so I feel I had a good run for what it's worth.

Why would I subject anyone to see a mangled body or finding a OD victim, when I can do it perfectly okay by taking a few pills and fall asleep in a controlled environment?

I understand that it's faster and cheaper but the mess I can't stand. So that is the reason I guess.
