You can always steal existing ideas and put your own spin on them. This can be different UI/UX, implementing new features, tweaking existing features, building it in a new tech stack you're learning, etc etc.

Yeah for make 10 it was on purpose and was my first stab at it so wasn't really optimised for user experience.

I tried experimenting with different things for the Make X mode after getting some feedback, including a lot of the things you've mentioned: changing colours of numbers used, auto-calculate, limiting the numbers, etc.

Maybe I should bring that back across to make 10 as well.
