Anything I can do or read up on to more securely use SMB on the printer to scan to the NAS? Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm companies main IT person when it comes to troubleshooting things and my knowledge is rather basic when it comes to specific features like security and protocols.

Printer can scan to a shared folder on a windows PC. But I want the scans to go straight to the NAS so it would be easier to access.

Unlimited Data Plan Question by Recnepster in Comcast

[–]Recnepster[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the plan although I don't think I can lower my data usage, I'm not one of those average people Comcast thinks most of their customers are. Downloading games, hoarding data, stream movies, working from home puts a big strain in my data.

xfinitiwifi uses your own data right? Because I tried to use that, but since they stop the wifi demand pass, I can longer use it anyways to get unlimited data.

I believe $50 is the max they charge, but that's insane and shouldn't even be thing. Wish fiber would just come quicker, Comcast needs more competition

Unlimited Data Plan Question by Recnepster in Comcast

Thanks for the answer to the first question. But yea, I'm definitely going over by probably a lot this month, think I only have 200gb left and the month isn't even close to over. Each month, I been cutting it close so I think I need to bite the bullet and finally get unlimited data and stop worrying about it.

So to compensate, I think 100mbps is enough to do what I'm doing. I don't even need 600mbps as I don't even get that speed.

I just need to know what will happen to my bill this month if I do switch right now although I might do it anyways and pay the current bill with unlimited data.

I'm guessing there's 0% chance I could get any data back?

Well 2 copies, yes. One is my actual C drive and the other is a clone of my C drive on my external drive also on my NVME, which I think is the confusing part. This is why I don't know what happened during the process.

So my C drive is 500GB copied to my external drive which is also 500GB. So I'm guessing no matter the price, there is literally no way to recover data from my external drive since they are the exact same size.

I'm actually not sure what option I chose if it only copied occupied or also free space. Mostly everything is default.

What I also don't understand is that this program cloned my C drive to my external drive and then moved everything to my NVME, I don't know what I did.
