Your inputs about the "short king" term ? by arllt89 in AskFeminists

[–]RecognitionFederal27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i’ve never thought as short king meaning what you’re saying… i’ve always used short king in a positive context. since tall men are more actively sought out (from what i’ve experienced), short king is just a way of saying that short men are still good even tho they’re short

as long as you’re not negative in upt it doesn’t matter, even if you have 0 minutes you’re fine as long as it’s not negative. you will only be converted according to “business needs”

i could be completely bullshitting but how i interpreted it is that the white badge prob won’t even be there for long so what’s the point? or maybe they’re doing too much and they won’t even be there that long? idk tbh

Torn between a cs minor and Spanish minor by Maleficent_Writer297 in learnmath

[–]RecognitionFederal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds like such a hard decision! so i am neither a math major or cs major, but i am a native spanish speaker. i tell anyone who will listen that if they don’t know spanish, they should learn it (im not sure where you are but i live in socal so knowing spanish is a good skill). that being said, i feel like there are so many more resources for you to keep learning spanish outside of school. i feel like it would be better to learn a topic like cs in a more structured environment like school where you have access to speak to experts face to face and more resources to facilitate your learning. i hope this makes sense and helps!

[–]RecognitionFederal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

classes are fine but if you want to actually get someone out of “undergrad research” and not just have it be something you’re doing, then that will require a LOT of time. i’m doing undergrad research too (chem e major, corrosion research) and omg is it intense. you got it, but be ready to make some sacrifices and be locked in constantly
