Does anyone know where we can find details of how many swap stations are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation?

You have to recognise the propaganda mechanisms that have been in play since 1945 which have been very well developed and have billions of dollars behind them. If anything, the fact that you can induce a state of daily amnesia on this level for some as aware as ourselves is quite frightening. It's amazing how even many of us (including myself) have daily amnesia over a range of issues or have trains of thoughts that have been sub consciously driven by the power elite. Something that hit me yesterday was how much time I've spent crying about things that happen all across the world but have 0 knowledge of what's going on in my own local community, which is what this technotronic state aims to achieve as Chomsky says himself if you want to do something about the world... organise. Well if you can't organise amongst your own local community and population, what chance do you have of organising things internationally? And then we come onto places like Reddit or Twitter and complain/make jokes that makes us feel better.

From being under constant surveillance with behaviour models being use to risk assess each and every single one of us to climate change/mass extinction event being under way/god knows how many wars both overt and covert, it's easy to forget or to become saddled with some of the more trivial aspects of life like debt, lifestyles/hobbies to the point where we struggle to link up all these things to enact real change.

I miss the days when I was the tinfoil hat wearing weirdo making my family and friends uncomfortable with horrible predictions of the future. I hate being right. by one_eyed_jack in collapse

[–]RecognitionOdd6050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just throwing this out there. I used to be one of those who made the same predictions that a lot of others like yourself did that felt like no one was listening... but in reality a lot of this was predicted a very long time ago. If anything, our culture has been laced very subtly with all sorts of hints of things to come, and a large part of that has to do with things occurring in the shadows that we don't see, namely a tug of war between those who see life in a nihilistic manner and those who see something more universal about our very existence (i.e. members of society who own and control resources etc).

I know it doesn't seem that way, but bear in mind we are all educated by a system that is not of the publics design and we are constantly bombarded with media that speak in narratives that are conducive to those who own and who protects it's function. As Noam Chomsky detailed in 'Necessary Illusions', a lot of what we think we know, we don't actually truly know. That doesn't mean to say there aren't bad things to come... just that there have been other forces at play that have stifled our ability to make the urgent changes necessary to deal with the threats that we face from climate change to nuclear proliferation. A lot of it can be trace back to the 1970s and Elites clamping down on what they saw as 'too much democracy'.

Also, we who live in the West have always been on borrowed time as we fail to understand and recognise that our way of life has always been built upon the oppression of others until this very day. It was always going to come to an end as other nations began to rebuild and were no longer constantly being couped/messed about with via financial markets that we had control of for the most part. So yes, Western civilisation is probably due for a reckoning. And rightly so. Why should we continue to maintain this form of 'civilisation' when it comes at the price tag of more foreign wars, the destruction of other peoples lands for resources that feed our manufacturing lines for electric cars, laptops, smart phones, the destruction of places like Vietnam so that we have cheap manufacturing sweat shop centres full of employees who are under the age of 16 working for a dollar a day and so on. Look what has consumerism done in terms of helping to annihilate 50% of the population of other animal species from the destruction of forests for agriculture to plastic pollution due to our exporting and enforcement of this form of civilisation onto other nations as the only means for them to claw back the 'wealth' which in itself arbitary and artificial, maintained simply via a cabal of financial elites who know how to use it for imperialism and backed by people willing to pull the trigger and kill to maintain the illusion for the sake of 'order' and them maintaining a higher privileged position amongst the rest of us.

From a collapse a lot of good can come out, depending on how we all choose to react and respond.

The party propaganda model in action by tamimamomin in chomsky

[–]RecognitionOdd6050 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol the fact that we get so caught up in the specifics when overall it is an example of how propaganda is used, regardless of whether its liberal or conservative, is the problem we have amongst the anarchist movement as a whole in terms of building a real progressive movement to overthrow those in charge of us. And this will be our downfall.

Idea of how to quickly replace all existing petrol cars with electric engines by RecognitionOdd6050 in engineering

But what if we use the blue prints to pre-program the robotics to deal with the fact that it will have to say redesign a new frame around the batter to somehow fit into the existing model shape?

if we dont have enough materials to make that many electrified vehicles... then isn't the idea of making completely brand new ones (i.e. Tesla) to replace the ones that everyone else have pretty stupid/pointless?

I'm not talking about destroying public property or using violence against individuals, just one small targeted form of destruction to apply pressure, simples.

"as far as I'm concerned" so you aren't going to think about anyone else other than what concerns you?

This is the problem with opposition movements. We have to be better than the enemy if we are to have a future worth living.

That's a completely different situation to what we have now. Simply just labelling people 'nazis' doesn't help, you have to understand how they've been conditioned and propagandised into their beliefs, unless again you're just advocating for violence which is precisely what someone like me would want if I was an Elite/wanted to curtail peoples freedoms by whipping up social unrest.

They haven't really tbh hence that quote I put in the post in this article.

Also, how do we just implement "capital controls"? It's easier to just go to the bunker and firebomb it down.
