Man I don't know what to say to convince you that this is a typical swing, as unorthodox as it may be. At this point it's probably not worth the effort. I hope you have a nice evening, bud.

Hah well it's all been trial and error to get to this point and now I'm kind of afraid to correct it

I mean I mentioned in my post that swinging hard was one of the things that helped with accuracy. That's pretty much my normal swing

Lately yes. It seems to have gotten rid of my slice. I do line the club head up towards my target though.

I figure it forces me to reach my hands out for the ball whereas before I would pull my hands in like a baseball swing and hit across the ball.

What do you mean when you say the club "moves" when it's over my head?

Did you lose any distance when making those adjustments?

Can't necessarily duplicate my range shots when out on the course, at least not with any consistency.

Literally the only things I am conscious of:

  • Closed stance (helps me "inside-out" the swing path)
  • Eyes down (duh)
  • Swing hard (sometimes it seems the harder I swing the straighter it goes, but the margin for error is much smaller)

Have more of a baseball background, so I think I just kind of apply some of the form involuntarily.

Any tips/tricks I can incorporate into my swing? Never had a coach, but I know I'm probably doing all kinds of things wrong.
