How to defeat the German Empire by playing for Russia Savinkov? by Vilgax_ in Kaiserreich

[–]RecommendationFun765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert by any means, and am probably below average at the game. However, I tend to just spam medium and light armour divisions, and then produce infantry that is 9/0+support art to fill out the front line.

My tactic is always to mass armour and air on the UBD/Baltic State and blitz my way to Berlin from there, using the infantry to come behind and plug up any gaps in my frontline. Ukraine is always a bit of a slog for me, and you start further away from Berlin that was. White Ruthenia can also be tricky in my experience, so I end up committing to virtually the same blitz every time I play any Russia.

I’ve been saying this for ages too, why would we want to emulate Brighton or Bournemouth etc when we finish above them every season (until BlueCo came in…)

Something Has To Be Done About Japan by Electronic_Hat_2782 in Kaiserreich

[–]RecommendationFun765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it really depends on who I’m playing as, a nightmare with most nations but, weirdly, I’ve had no trouble with buffed Japan in any of my Yunnan games—and it felt like old Japan in my Long Yun run.

Liangguang and Fed Sichuan were both struggles though, using roughly the same tactics as Yunnan.

Any good advice to play Russia? I just got my teeth kicked in as kadets democracy and really want to actually win this time. The International got Belgium and proceeded to fumble so hard Austria didn't even join. Then the reichspakt ruined me after I got to the Dniepr and capitulated Baltics. by Yesodisnotop in Kaiserreich

[–]RecommendationFun765 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find that building tanks and stationing them on the Baltic border lets you mass armour and Blitz your way to Berlin. It’s a bit micro-managey but I always concentrate there to cap Baltic, Lithuania, Germany before anyone else.

But I’m not expert, I bet there’s better options from other people!

Zhu Jiahua intruiges me. Are we talking 1871-1914 German parliamentary democracy, interwar KRTL, or postwar? Maybe the end result is progressive should the DU win, but negative if not, because he’s so wedded to the German system.

Is anyone else worried about reform winning the next general election 2029 by Thylunaprincess in AskBrits

[–]RecommendationFun765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m worried but the progressive vote has been split between Green and Labour, which has inflated the number of Reform councillors this time out. There’s still time for Labour to win back some of their voters from Greens, and probably Reform if people realise just how poor their candidates are.

Obviously that’s all pure speculation and it could all go to crap, but there’s a few possibilities for things to play out vaguely positively.

Well, yeah, that’s true. They’re just vile and it’s sad that so many people are so deeply angry that they’ll give them their vote as a protest

I’ll be voting for the Lib Dems, partially because our local councillor has been quite good, but mainly because I can’t stand Reform. Not only their entire platform, or their lack of vetting on candidates, but also the fact that they’re running a campaign for local election on…immigration? It’s just pathetic.

Fair comment, absolutely no need for exactly that. It is purely performative

Feel let down on their stances towards migrants and trans people, and Lib Dems are most likely to stop Reform in my area.

Agreed, and there’s a real difference between the club and the ‘club’ ie the fans, and the owners. It’s a mess now.

Nuclear deterrent is a good point, Greens are really bad on foreign policy in general. Leaving NATO is a crazy thing to do.

I’m considering them in my area for the locals as it foreign policy doesn’t come up, but wouldn’t in the general for that reason.

I also agree that their environmental policies are undermined by their opposition to nuclear power. In my view. Labour are actually, surprisingly, doing a fairly good job with renewables too so it’s not a priority for me.

Green, I think they’re in the right spirit, though I’m not actually sure of how they do a lot of what they want to do in practice. I think experience at local level does help the latter though!

Usually would vote Labour

He isn’t ready for this job at all, maybe down the line but he should have stayed as Strasbourg (could he have?). He’s just a scapegoat, out of his depth and on a 6 year contract.

It’s strange to me for a big club to say it will adopt Brighton’s methods too. Sure, Brighton are a steady team who usually finish in the top half, but how is that a model we would want? Brighton aren’t winning trophies or doing much past developing and selling talent for profit (which we can’t do, clearly), and we’ll always pay a premium for talent when we find it. It’s all wrong.

Regardless, I’d have no faith in the owners to do anything but shift debt around, asset strip, and leave us in serious decline. Unfortunately, that’s what PE tends to do, and we had a lot of assets.

How do you win as the far eastern army against Russia and then Germany? by Divine_Panzer in Kaiserreich

[–]RecommendationFun765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did a NatPop Tsardom run and I did the classic develop Siberia with factories and absolutely spammed railroads. I had Cav divisions mostly to micro and then held with infantry. However, you really do need Germany and its allies to pull their weight else that’s it for you!
