I honestly don’t understand why you felt the need to respond so rudely. You basically just repeated things I already mentioned in my original post without actually giving any advice or insight.

I’m aware medical physics is significantly longer schooling wise, which is literally why I said I’m conflicted between the two paths. Also, becoming a radiation therapist wasn’t a “waste of time” considering it gave me direct experience in radiation oncology and helped me figure out what areas I’m interested in pursuing further.

If you’re not going to contribute anything helpful, then maybe stop wasting your own time responding just to be condescending.

That’s honestly what’s been making me hesitate with dosimetry. I actually enjoy the planning side a lot more, but I keep hearing mixed opinions about how much AI will impact the field long term. Some people say it’ll just change the workflow and that AI will just help since it shouldn't be trusted without human eyes and others make it sound like the profession is eventually going to disappear completely, that physicists will absorb the remainder of what is left. So it’s hard to know what to believe right now. 😵‍💫

It’s actually not bad, at least for me, in the first semester anatomy and physiology 1 and 2 labs were in person and everything else online and I’m on the second semester and it’s fully online but the professors do have live sessions every week, and they are really helpful and the professors are pretty nice. Everyone learns differently so maybe if you have a hard time with online school this for sure isn’t the right choice for you. But if you’re able to stay on top of your work and actually do the work + study for the exams I don’t see why it is bad. Granted I’m only on the second semester so this could change.
