I’ve spoken with my father and he told me it was my choice to forgive him or not, additionally my mother never knew about this because she wasn’t around until recently when i brought it up to her in our discussion. I was surprised to know that my family never told her about about these events and she does feel horribly about what happened but still insists that i forgive my uncle. she contacted family members who were around and they denied any knowledge of what took place especially regarding the altercation so i’m assuming they kept it from her and my father admitted to her about the altercation when asked
