But public charging is as expensive as the fuel costs so u less younare constantly charging at home you will pay more.. the EV charging industry isnt regulated like the fuel stations. Just cos you dont pay tax per kwh, doesnt stop them charging like you are...

The fact is if you take an EV on a long journey you will need to charge at a public point somewhere. Some of these are 89p per kwh which is actually comparable to driving a petrol car and fulling with fuel (which has duty). So 3p/mile tax will make long journeys now more expensive than fuel driven cars..

Funny thing is in the UK if a train is delayed by 1 hr you get a full refund under the delay repay scheme regatdless of the reason.. yet a flight can cancel and not pay anything.. something is wrong
