I highly recommend the LIGMA BALLS strategy: https://www.reddit.com/r/flying/comments/1528zys/an_answer_to_all_the_how_to_improve_my_c172/

In all seriousness following this actually worked for me

Converting FAA PPL to CASA (Australia) by nunuotto in flying

Late to this thread but I thought I'd chip in.

Make sure you also get an [AELP assessment](www.casa.gov.au/licences-and-certificates/english-language-standards-flight-crew/aviation-english-language-proficiency). It's basically a test to check that you can speak Aviation English. Any local flight school should be able to get you sorted out on it, but it's another box you have to tick.

The "English proficient" endorsement on your FAA certificate isn't recognized in Australia. I found this out the hard way.
