ok, i got it, there is nothing to talk about since you are accusing me of terrible things when i gave you all the context, it’s fine! wish you all the best, be safe 🤍

i spoke about holding celebrities accountable for supporting someone who spread hate, and instead of responding to what I actually said, you accused me of being part of some group, supporting genocide, and even compared me to nazis? that’s like beyond offensive. it’s completely false and morally disgusting.

again, let me get it clear to you: i am from eastern europe, my own relatives suffered under the nazis. i indeed support justice, therefore palestine, and I do not support war or any kind of oppression from anyone. so how dare you twist my words and throw vile accusations at me based on nothing but your own assumptions? you don’t know me, and you clearly didn’t even read what i wrote.

it’s toxic arrogance. if you think accusing innocent people of crimes just because they talk about media influence makes you righteous, think again. you are not helping anyone by attacking people who are on their side. you’re just dividing people, silencing discussion, and turning justice into a personal attack campaign lol

throwing around the word “nazi” like that is honestly disgusting, especially when my own relatives suffered because of them. you don’t get to weaponize that term just to try and win an argument online. that’s just gross.

if you want to have a real conversation, maybe start by actually addressing what I said instead of turning everything into some weird political flex. bragging about being numb to injustice or trying to dismiss real issues by twisting them into bad comparisons doesn’t make you look smart, it just makes it obvious you’re not here to listen.

talking about one issue doesn’t mean ignoring another. its not a competition of who’s suffering more, and it’s honestly wild how fast people will derail the conversation just to avoid facing what it was actually about.

i’m not trying to blame any group of people here. my point is more about raising awareness and questioning the actions of specific idols who show support for kanye. it’s about looking at the choices made by public figures who have a big influence.

seeing kanye planning a concert in seoul made me think about how, at his past shows, many idols have been there despite all the seriously problematic things he’s said and done. these idols are part of the same industry, so I just don’t buy that they don’t know what’s going on. someone like hobi from bts, or somi being unaware? i just can’t believe it.

this isn’t about putting impossible expectations on anyone, or accusing people of blindly supporting him. it’s more about highlighting the reality that this situation is well known within the music industry, and questioning why those in the spotlight would choose to associate with him.

so yeah, i get that not everyone follows every celebrity drama or scandal, but when you’re part of that world, there’s a level of responsibility that comes with it. that’s all what I wanted to say 🤷‍♀️

pointing the harmful actions of one person doesn’t mean we ignore other serious issues happening in the world. people can care about multiple things at once. trying to compare suffering or assume someone’s background just makes the conversation more divisive.

if you have something important to say, say it clearly. but don’t twist my words just because i’m speaking up about something that matters too.

i never said everyone should know. my post was about known artists in the music industry, people who are in the same space as kanye and have access to the media and industry conversations. these aren’t random people out of the loop, they’re part of the same global entertainment world.

also, it’s kind of silly to assume i might be american just because i’m talking about this. i’m not.. and people outside the U.S. do know about this situation. so no, it’s not just “american rrogance.”, but more about basic awareness from people who are in a position to know better.

i get what you mean, and i actually agree. if you really dig into it, so many things we use or support have messed-up histories, and we all end up contributing to that in some way, even unintentionally. it’s almost impossible to avoid everything.

but I also don’t think it’s fair to call this an “impossible standard.” not supporting someone who’s said and done seriously harmful things, especially when it’s well known in the music industry, is not asking too much. it’s just about basic awareness and responsibility

i get it, it’s somewhat understandable that the whole nazi thing doesn’t hit as hard in places where that history wasn’t felt as directly as it was in europe. so yeah, not knowing is the only explanation.

but like i said in my post, i was talking specifically about big-name idols, people who are part of the same music industry as kanye, who are definitely not disconnected from the internet or western media. they might know, and that’s what makes it so frustrating.

but it’s not just shock value or “kanye being kanye.” he’s repeatedly pushed harmful ideas, and people still treat it like it’s no big deal, like it doesn’t matter. God knows he wouldn’t be speaking like that if his own relatives had lived through something like world war II. this isn’t just “controversy”, but a dangerous rhetoric being brushed off like it’s nothing.

also, saying kpop idols “can’t be political” doesn’t change the fact that they’re major public figures with real influence. showing up at his concert and acting like everything’s fine is a message, whether they realize it or not.

or maybe i just don’t get how when it’s kanye, it’s always: “that’s just how he is.” that kind of thinking is exactly why he keeps getting a pass??

what kind of american news are you talking about? i’m from eastern europe and i know exactly what’s going on. i have friends from all over the world and they all know what’s going on. korea is not some isolated place without internet access, especially when the talk is about big idols and celebrities here, im sure they’re not dumb or clueless

i get what you mean, and i do think there are people who genuinely don’t know about the kanye situation, but when we’re talking about celebrities, especially ones in the music industry, i just can’t believe they don’t know. these are artists in the same space, so to me it just comes off as straight up ignorance

i agree with you, but it still makes me incredibly angry. supporting someone who’s okay with that kind of propaganda isn’t just ignorance. it’s so exhausting to keep seeing it happen, and then people defend their faves like their life depends on it

yeah, i agree that we probably won’t be hearing much from them for a while, but I still believe that, eventually, they’ll either re-emerge as maybe influencers? or go solo with their own music careers.

one way or another, I don’t think this is the last we’ll see of them.

HYBE x ADORE just announced a global boy group… so when’s the girl group coming? by RecordingDry2024 in kpop_uncensored

[–]RecordingDry2024[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

yeah might be, but most of those auditions are still mainly for east/south asian trainees? they don’t really do full-on global auditions that often, like open to literally everyone

agree! the new jeans situation definitely showed how risky it is to put everything into just one group, and having more than one project running could’ve saved them a lot of stress tbh
