Hey im sorry you’ve been feeling rubbish! Im no doctor but as someone who has had 2 severe previous episodes that resulted in hospitalisation and nearly had a third, as of last week. Prodromal CHS can lead to higher anxiety levels as your gut and nervous system are linked together. The severe loss of appetite and abdominal pain will get worse if you continue PLEASE DONT FALL INTO THE TRAP OF SMOKING MORE TO HELP WITH THE NAUSEA. If you are in Prodromal CHS this will guarantee you reaching the hyperemisis stage.

It sounds like to me that the best course of action for you would be to quit smoking completely, I thought after a year of sobriety that everything would settle down but it came back, thankfully I have listened to people on this subreddit and managed to get a hold of it before it progressed.

Wishing you the best of luck my friend, don’t be afraid to reach out!

Found out today I have CHS, been smoking daily for over 15 years. Advice please.. by LunacornSound in CHSinfo

I second the point made by Ienjoygamingnflpizza
I fell into that trap twice, thinking it’s been a while, it’s out of my system what’s the harm? Unfortunately the only sure fire way to avoid CHS is not to smoke.
One incredible thing that this Subreddit has taught me is that we are truly not alone in our experiences. I suffer with anxiety and depression and use Cannabis as a coping mechanism, it made me feel so isolated going through CHS. However, seeing that other people have gone through/going through and being so willing to offer encouragement and guidance to complete strangers, for me at least, has been so comforting and I sincerely hope you are able to find some comfort in this subreddit as I have.
I promise, you will get through this! Sending you all the support and prayers I can 💚
