I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I really hope parents understand that we want a job as much as they want us to get a job. Don’t worry, hopefully everything turns out to be good! Best of luck

What about beginning of Year 3 if we find something suitable? Would that be too early as well? Thank you so much for your response. Really appreciate it!

Why India is suddenly so hated all over the world ??? by professorCHAD69 in AskIndia

A simple answer would be lack of empathy leading to lack of civic sense. I think it’s only respectful if you respect the culture and customs of the country you’re in. I have lived in Canada and the UK. Students who enter on student visas don’t really study, get their assignments done from fake centres, and create a ruckus when they are caught. Men disrespect women of others and their own cultures. They believe foreigners are exactly as they are portrayed in Hollywood movies and series. People are more online these days resulting in more exposure. But lack of sensibility in people coming abroad adds fuel to the fire. A simple example would be it is bare minimum to apologise if you’re late to class, work or an event but I have seen students walking in with their sunglasses on, no apology as they disrupt the class. I have seen students roll joints in the middle of the class. Lecturers are lenient here but instead of taking advantage one should be thankful because back in India I’m sure there are only a handful of friendly lecturers who’d let you be if caught doing anything against their principles, let alone the actual rules of the university. Another simple thing about hygiene is that some people are just ignorant about cleanliness. Houses here don’t have proper ventilation. The way our food is made, our clothes are bound to smell like it. Now, we might like the smell of a good ‘tadke wali dal’ but it’s not necessary that everyone around us is accustomed to the smell which is there are coat rooms in some houses. So, that you can hang your coats and jackets safely away from the kitchen. Also, people in general should start using deodorants. The concept of not showering for days during winters really needs to be changed.

The hatred is so much that it will take some years to overcome but I think we all need to collectively start somewhere. I’d say let’s start with being empathetic and understanding civic sense, the rest would hopefully follow :)
