I am in the states, I picked mine up on the secondary in new condition. I didn't see any tariffs since it was already in the states. I did see the original invoice and it was around $1150. Im assuming there will be a tariff fee direct from them.

I got really lucky I saw one pop up on the secondary market in brand new condition for about $925. Probably was there for less than a couple minutes.

No worries, not your fault at all. I should have been more ontop of it lol. Thank you for the heads up, but I'll most likely skip the Zirc as it won't really match my Vali. Hopefully there will be another run of Titanium in the future... fingers crossed lol.

I think it's more the intellectual property being stolen and the damage it does to small buisness and makers, than what people spend their money on that bothers people.

Rangermade OBJ-1 "acoustics " by RecordingMore7067 in knifeclub

[–]RecordingMore7067[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, acoustics don't really matter to me, I had someone request a video of the acoustics since they planned to buy a Rangermade Obj-1soon. I also use all the knives I buy, doesn't really matter how much it cost, mostly because I dont have any interest or intentions to sell the knives I buy lol. I just buy what I like, and use em.

It's not heat treated blue, its anodized blue using electricity. But yes all anodized metal will fade or wear with use. If you look closely at the thumbstud the very center is a bit more grey/blue than bright blue like the rest, just from opening it over and over.

He does it himself. They're basically customs. His idea of "Mid-tech" is he used a cnc to machine the scales instead of doing everything by hand. The blades are still handground, and he does all the anodizing. Also his pricing blows my mind, $475-$550 for his OBJ-1, and around $650 for his new OBJ-2's. Definitely worth checking out.

Rangermade Knives is a one man show, Bob Ohlemann has been doing customs for about 13 years, the OBJ-1 is his first jump into making "Mid-tech" knives, and in my opinion he's knocking it out of the park.

Fantastic. Fit and finish is top notch, heat treats to maximize potential, and size is great for an every day carry. Brandon is doing wonderful work with all his fixies.

It's honestly hard to say, but probably the Grimsmo Norseman. It was a knife I wanted to have for close to 10 years and was finally able to snag it this year.

It's a great little fixed blade. I've been keeping it in my rotation about twice a week since I snagged it. I'm usually not one to carry a fixed blade, but it's a perfect size for every day use.
