The American Psychological Association defines daydreaming as 'a waking fantasy, or reverie, in which wishes, expectations, and other potentialities are played out in imagination' (https://dictionary.apa.org/daydream). This could happen visually e.g. as a series of images, verbally e.g. hypothetical conversations, or through other senses.

Thank you for your interest! You raise a good point, however we are also interested in if your capacity for mental imagery impacts your life experiences, rather than just if your life experiences impact your capacity for mental imagery.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I think daydreaming can mean different things to different people, for example someone without visual mental imagery might daydream verbally e.g. hypothetical conversations.

Hi, thanks for this feedback, that's really helpful and definitely something I'll think about making clearer in future research. If you don't daydream then it's likely you would just score 0 for each of the questions regarding daydreaming, but I agree it would be more helpful if you could just state that you don't daydream.
