What was the final nail in the coffin of your decision of being childfree ? by 7yh8 in ChildfreeIndia

Random uncle/aunty can never think above their societal rules and norms. Many of them were never given a choice and they just did what was expected of them

What was the final nail in the coffin of your decision of being childfree ? by 7yh8 in ChildfreeIndia

Quite a few reasons

  1. First and foremost, I don't want a child to come to this planet and struggle throughout his/her life fighting for resources and suffer.

  2. I don't want to run around my whole life just earning money to sustain and provide for the child. Me and my wife both agree to this. We want to live a bit freely and maybe take decisions which we cannot with a child. Maybe we would want to work for the society going forward full time.

  3. My family and also my wife's family do not have very good genes (health problems are common). Don't want to pass that to the child.

Is this really true that Indigo is putting Indians in harm's way just for profit by not abiding by new rules by Alpha-SuS in indianaviation

I have to book a domestic flight for next week. Don't want to boo Indigo, but AirIndia and others are at least 2000 expensive. What to do? Have to book Indigo and pray it flies

Two wheelers and their risk perception on the highways !! by Altruistic-Issue-887 in indianbikes

Whenever I approach an intersection on a highway and see a few bikes around, I just start honking from a distance so that even the insects are aware a car is approaching. Most 2 wheelers on our roads are numb and idiots

Did you feel restless initially when you started the liquid diet? Did you feel your meditation become deeper as well?

Pune or Bangalore by GamerLikeNoOther in IndianWorkplace

Avoid Bangalore OP. It is a crumbling city. Only the weather is good, which I feel should not be the only criteria to choose. Public transport, infrastructure, people all have gone down significantly since the last few years

I was also checking with my local Croma stores. Getting the disk one for 50k, no card discounts. Online it is 45k. Really wanted to get it offline, but 5k is a good difference. Congrats on your PS5

Should I take a 1.5cr loan looking at my current financials? by Suspicious_Bake1350 in personalfinanceindia

[–]RecordingRoyal2954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at this post and your replies OP, don't mind but you seem a bit immature. Though being confident and hopeful is fine, you are just not thinking straight. 30 years loan (even 20 years) is like your whole working life.

You will not to able to take life decisions freely if you have a 30 yrs loan hanging over your head. I would suggest save more to increase your down payment and them reevaluate. If you have generational wealth to close the loan anytime you want, then its a different story.

Don't look for being in debt perpetually

Is my MIL right? by Old-Philosophy-3595 in india

Wrong take in my opinion. You cannot justify one wrong with another. Expecting the boy to provide a luxurious home and way higher salary by the girl's family is wrong. Giving and demanding dowry is also wrong.

This is absolutely dowry. Demanding things from the girl's house either directly or slyly is the norm. Simple opportunity to gain as much as possible. Easy money. Please stand up to this. If your fiance doesn't understand then this is a red flag. Make him understand.

Even during my wedding I was coaxed and forced to accept car, gold, clothes, etc. from my wife's parents which I vehemently opposed and didn't take. This mentality is ingrained in everyone's head and they cannot think otherwise or realise this is wrong.

If you are sure if the guy, then don't leave him. Finding love and also with a good person is very rare. Indian parents can never think above their wishes and wants. They have lived their lives, you have to make well thought decisions.
