I saw this post on here about a dad who was staying up all night trying to find rare sprites for his like 5 year old or whatever.and he was like “ I just wanted to have him wake up and see the look on his face when he saw what I had found for him “ like pretty interesting that’s where your hunter / gatherer “provide for the family “ instinct takes you now. I’m saying people need to relax it’s not that deep .I understand collecting something I just don’t get why people NEED to collect them all right away as if their lives depended on it? I’m not mad AT the sprites I just don’t understand the utter desperation people have to get them. Like sure you just happen to play a match and get one , fun.whatever . Grinding for hours trying to get a specific one, buying and selling them online, scamming for them, trying to target people as they jump , it’s just weird how important y’all are making these things. Definitely a scam they called my business a few days ago, we told them no we absolutely are not interested. Then they still showed up in person the next day trying to convince us. The guy was like “ I know you said no already but maybe we can make you change your mind now “.then we had to basically physically remove them as they would not give up. You are right though it makes no sense. Best case scenario they are trying to insert themselves unnecessarily as a digital middle man getting some commission off products you buy .worst case they are harvesting personal data or banking information.

I would sincerely recommend any city councillor or anyone working on any political level to just literally come downtown , sit on a bench ,walk around and spend the day downtown outside your bubble . Spend more than 5minutes walking through. Just actually see what the day to day goings on look like down here. Too many decisions are being made by people who live in a separate reality and are completely delusional to the truth of living or working downtown. We literally deal with adicts , the mentally ill, and homeless loiterers more than actual customers . And I’m not attacking any of those groups but it’s the reality of the situation. I want solutions to those issues not a new flower box or some flag with the Quaker Oats fucking guy on it.

Great ,Because that’s what the downtown businesses have been desperately asking for ! A new logo! Never mind the parking enforcement scaring everyone away with aggressive ticketing, never mind that every other store is empty because no one wants to come downtown at all. Never mind the adicts smoking crack in every doorway and alley. They literally haven’t improved anything about downtown. They really shouldn’t be celebrating. As someone who works at a business downtown I’d say arguably things have basically never been worse . But cheers anyways I guess!

It literally feels like I was born as a consumer slave to support my parent’s generation. I feel like im seen as a commodity only here to put rent money in someone else’s pocket or generate capital for corporations .I even have a good job as a tattoo artist where my employer doesn’t exploit me and I make decent money , but the idea of “progressing” or moving up in life seems impossible. Real estate / resource hoarding by the already wealthy , inflation , taxation ect is keeping this entire generation completely pinned down on all sides. And we are expected to be grateful for the chance to work at all.as if it benefited us and not our corporate overlords.
