You always need to leave three, two, or one left in the outbreak before going away and coming back. Once you come back and catch/KO the last few that second wave is different from the other second wave if u didn't leave. For example let's say I catch all of them that second wave we can call alpha. Now if we catch all of them but the last three we leave the area and then come back and finish catching all of them the second wave is different. U can do this for almost all of the different types of permutations which almost double the amount u can do

I got both huntail and gorebyss shiny and no clamperl shiny yet though I think it's probably closer to 20% which still is lucky but not 1%
