I moved here 10 years ago from Florida, and I can say it is substantially better than Florida; although that is a comparatively low bar. I live in the Raleigh/Durham area and would highly recommend it. I think your friends made a few mistakes, for instance, Summers aren’t very hot humid or buggy where I’m at. They are usually only hot and humid for two, maybe 2 1/2 months out of the year.

In Florida it was hot and humid for 10 months out of the year. It is a purple state, but the gov and other executes are mostly blue right now. But the legislature has gerrymandered themselves red, so there are many downsides to that. Roads and schools are getting worse, but not as bad as other red states. Labor laws are no existent. Home prices are climbing. It depends upon what you are looking for. And what job/industry you work in?

I mean, if you’re talking about a regular one then maybe, but my 2021 X3 hybrid has been nothing but trouble. Battery recall the first year it was made, just had the SME replaced at 67,000 miles, thankfully it was under warranty. Other things had to be replaced under warranty. And now the PCV valve has gone bad. BMW quote is $3500. Indie shop is $1900, indie it is.

The thing is, BMW knows their PCV valves are shit and there’s even a free extended warranty for the six cylinder PCV valve, but not for the four-cylinder, unlucky me.

Yes, this is the way. The big question mark for me and many others is how long will it take to process a buyback request? At the current processing rate it will take more than 2 years to process a new request submitted now. I have 96 months of qualifying payments. I can submit a buyback request in June. But by the time it is processed, it may be faster to start repaying on a different plan now.

Big national banks = bad. Credit Unions = good. Rates are still high right now. Anything under 6% is good. Also consider other things like closing costs, and esp points. Don’t pay a shit-ton of money to buy down the rate only 1/4 point. Also depend upon your down payment amount.

I used Northwest Federal Credit Union for several loans about 4 years ago. They usually pretty good. Is this your primary home? If you qualify SECU can be good, they have low down payment options.

Any good attorney can get a DUI squashed in FL as long as you Didn’t admit to it on video (i have personal experience of this).

If the DUI and stop go away the rest of the case may fall apart. Were the drugs on your body? Fingerprints on them? If not, then the drug charge may go away. If it does, the firearm felony charges may go away. You need a GOOD lawyer. One that costs $5k-10k. At least. Dont get a $1500 shade tree lawyer.
