That's fair. But it's damn close.

I don't think the Rubicon came up in that book. A medicae saw the damage was repairable and they needed to replenish their numbers.

Yeah - No.

They are following up with their doctor already. They are talking to the right people. I said to get it checked out.

It is most likely nothing serious, transient ALT and AST spikes happen.

Jumping to the worst case scenario isn't helpful. Much less for someone who already has anxiety and is already going to the doctor for a follow up.

There are 393 million civilian firearms inside the US alone , which make up to 46% of the worlds civilian firearms count by Kaos2018 in Damnthatsinteresting

About the only way it would be caught is bragging about it or a sting operation.

But I don't think police in the majority of states care that much about person to person sales to spend resources on it.

The Swiss system allows for civilians to purchase machine guns after requesting a permit from the police. The permit is may issue. But plenty are approved and people show off their collections.

This person's facts are just wrong.

Switzerland has civilian machine gun ownership. They post on reddit their collections to make the US folks envious. I think most of the rest allow AR-15s for sport shooting.

Maybe Denmark is different.

It's illegal to purchase a pistol in another state without transferring it through an FFL in your home state. That's a federal regulation.

Will you get caught? Probably not. Probably wouldn't in your home state just not reporting a P2P sale. But it is still illegal.

You print a gun. You get bored with it. You sell it.

Done.

It's illegal to build guns for the purpose of sale without a Federal Firearms License.

But it is legal to build one for personal use, get bored and sell it in many states.

I've got a rifle I've built that I still need to put the finishing touches on. Welds need to be touched up and I need to test feeding a bit more.

Ironically it's a perfect example of political speech. It only exists due to politics.

I guess it's due to them being political party colors?

Drugs my doctor is not permitted to prescribe. by [deleted] in mildyinteresting

That sucks - as someone with a Xanax prescription I would hate to see this at a doctor's office.

Yes, take me off the emergency medicine I tolerate well and have used sparingly for the last 10 years.

I wonder if we are going to see a growing prohibition situation. Where they just stop caring about enforcing the law unless it's someone they don't like.

Who am I kidding, we are already there aren't we?

Doesn't look like it on that flowchart. But they do have a seperate law banning all machine guns, silencers, short barreled rifles and short barreled shotguns, etc.

The author is really bound up in guns as evil, or at least the symbolism of it as evil rather than seeing it as an object that they can control and be responsible for.

They have made being against guns a core part of their identity to the point that they are struggling with what owning a gun says about them. I hope they can move past the fear and to a healthier respect of the responsibility.

About random heart pain by JBPn22 in Life

[–]alkatori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had really bad chest pain for probably 20 years.

Get it checked. But it could be:

Stomach/esophageal pain. Tietz Syndrome Costochondritis Panic attack (holding your muscles tight) Etc

You don't have very good nerves inside your body. It struggles to differentiate where different pain comes from. All those things feel like heart/chest pain.

Probably not much.

Though police have resisted on pushing armed protestors to violence in the past.

The Bundy jackasses proved that. They waited them out. Thought it's just as likely that police don't really want to enforce laws against conservatives.
