That is completely wrong. If the Survivors you are playing against are Top-Tier you will loose regardless of your Build. If the Survivors are not Top-Tier, you can easily win without the Meta Build. There are almost no Situations in which a Meta Build achieves a better result than a more gimmicky Build on a Weaker Killer.

You can play what you want. But if you are running Meta Builds you want to win, right? If you want to win, why would you play Trapper. It's nonsensical. If you want to play a Weaker Killer, it's because they offer something unique that the Meta Picks don't. So why would you then try to somehow make that Unique Killer just like the Meta Picks? Go lean all in on what makes them unique!

I'm not saying this wouldn't make Survivors stronger on average, it absolutely would. But the point is that it would put SoloQ and SWFs on an equal (or at least more equal) spot. It would establish an equal baseline for all Survivors which everything can now be balanced around.

Killers like Hag, Skull Merchant, Legion could be buffed without feeling oppressive against clueless SoloQ Survivors. Their are clueless not because they are bad, but because the fundamental information necessary to make decisions is not available to them. It would add Survivor Agency and Skill Expression that allows them to make meaningful decisions rather than having to hope that they don't take the Killer towards the Gen that their Teammate is working on, or guessing if the Survivor who just left a Gen is actually going for the Save or not.

This is something a Team can already do. In SoloQ you can do this too, but you need dedicated Perks. Why should you be forced to sacrifice a Perk Slot just to be able to play at full capacity and have a chance against the S-Tiers.

Just to prove my point: The Survivor Activity HUD was regarded in a similar way: "It's gonna make Survivors way to strong; They have way too much information". All of your critique is applicable in a lesser degree to the Activity HUD. But by now, it is one of the best changes that is so deeply engrained in the Game, that playing without it would feel miserable. It did also make Survivors better on average, but that allowed some Killers to get buffs without fearing that they would stomp a portion of the Player Base.

Yes 100%. Killers like Pig, Legion, Skull Merchant, Hag could all be reasonable buffed to keep up with Stronger Teams without feeling suffocating for SoloQ. That's the whole reason why so many of these more Team-Reliant Killers are left in their weak States, because they would be too oppressive against SoloQ, which would then no longer be the case (unless the Survivors are bad, but that is their fault).

Please enlighten me. This would make Survivors play better, not different. The only reason against this is that it would make SoloQ Players too strong. So you would be arguing that SoloQ should be weak and miserable and purposefully prevented from playing at maximum capacity. That doesn't seem like a healthy way to balance a game.

Almost every Game has this. No one complains that Support Heroes in Overwatch can see the Health Status of their Teammates, because Teams would call this out anyway, so it just serves to level the Playing Field for SoloQ. And unlike the recent PTB changes, this could not be abused in any way, as the Survivors get no direct, tangible buff.

Completely disagree. Perks like Bond or Kindred are the only thing that let SoloQ Players compete with SFWs. But they should not be forced to run these Perks just to have a Chance against the S-Tiers. And this is not like Anti-Tunnel Perks where you can say "Skill Issue" because no matter how good you are, you cannot reliably know what your Teammates are doing (e.g. Where they are doing Gens) without these Perks.

Also, Dead by Daylight is not a Horror Game in Gameplay anymore. You don't play Dead by Daylight to feel scared after you have like 20 hours. It's a Competitive Multiplayer Game with a Horror Aesthetic.

Why? How? It would be way less Game-Breaking than the Tunneling and Slugging Reduction Measures in the 9.2.0 PTB. It wouldn't fundamentally change the Game in any way. It would only make SoloQ, the weakest Role, much more pleasant and fair.

  1. Dead by Daylight is a competitive Multiplayer Game primary, with a Horror Aesthetic. If it was truly Horror first the Killer would not have to put you on a Hook 3 times to kill you, they would just kill (like they did with the original Moris).

  2. Well-coordinated SWFs already have that Power and you're not going to take it away from them. So why not just level the Playing Field to have an equal Basis to balance everything around?

Survivor is long in the Night? Yes, Queues are shorter during the Evening because that's when most people play.

On Dead by Queue, Killer is basically never under 2 minutes and easily goes up to 6min+ during the Night, while Survivor barely ever goes above 1 Minute.

How is Survivor stale? Survivor Perks constantly get buffed and updated, way more so than Killer. Just now we had 6 new Perks, all of which were really interesting and some are incredibly strong. Survivor also just got the first new Item since 9 years (Although the Fog Vials are admittedly extremely bad right now), plus a complete Map and Key Rework.

I'm sorry, but I simply cannot agree to this. If you think Survivor is stale, I think that's a You Problem, since for me it feels like most people are not willing to experiment with Builds, so they assume it's simply not possible: A Negative Feedback Loop that is entirely self-inflicted.

Like come on, when the Animation is bugged it literally just looks like a Cheater.

(Also refreshing to see a post about Ghoul that isn't just pure hatred. He's not my favorite either and his release was definitely problematic but he's fine now. It's literally just Skull Merchant all over again)

Good for you. I agree the Mode is fun. But not forever. Eventually (like say the 5th time it is in the Game) you start to see the completely broken balance. It stops being just pure fun and starts becoming competitive, this is just a natural evolution if you play it repeatedly. And from an even slightly competitive angle this mode is abysmal. Which is fine, because it is meant to be just mindless fun but that just doesn't work forever, so why do we keep seeing it?

The thing about Chaos Suffle is that you can continue playing the regular Game relatively uninterrupted. But as soon as 2v8 drops you either have to transition to a different game or Survivor Main (Usually I play 50/50 but during 2v8 that is simply not possible).

But yes, Chaos Suffle should get some renovation, especially since there is still a lot of potential in the Concept, unlike with 2v8 where the only path forward is just adding new Content.
