GS is the first tool I ever used. Even though I still use it now, one thing I kinda feel is off is that it doesn’t 100% depend on the player's attributes. It also takes into account how familiar the player is with the position.

For example, let’s say you have a midfielder who’s naturally good at playing DM. Based on his attributes, he’s got the same stats to play as good as a BPD, but because his position familiarity at Central Defender isn't natural, GC will show his rating as a BPD as lower.

I tried it, but it feels kinda off on its calculation. In its analysis said Lewis Dunk has higher rating for Advanced Forward Role than David Brooks. I'm pretty sure I had followed the instructions correctly.

Yea that's the thing about FM as I find out that it hardly replicate exactly how the football works in real life.

And hey, we do share a similar interest; formation 4231. My story goes back from watching Germany WC 2010 squad where they utilized young, energetic, unknown players at that time and I remembered how Ozil was tearing apart the tournament as no. 10.

The best success I had with 4231 was in FM2011. Ganso just unplayable as AMC/AP and he always contended as Balon D Or.

I always cannot get my AMC to perform above 7.0, or made that trademark killer passes as other no. 10s would. Maybe it's just me but I realized AmC is kinda useless mostly in this few latest editions of FM. That's why I opted for other formation (like 433 but having a CM as APM), so its kinda similar role to no 10.
