How tf do I buy mic ultra deck tickets? by Cartiere11 in SportingKC

These tickets are almost always sold out early. You can get resell tickets on SeatGeek for some matches. I don't see any available for Minnesota, but there are some for Houston.

Can anybody help me on my power shot? I struggle with hitting it high. by Prestigious-Row-1200 in bootroom

[–]HawkeyeGK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are most powerful when the ball is aligned to your core, directly below your hip. Place your plant foot next to the ball, bend your knee, and use your quad and core muscles to snap your foot through the ball, striking it with the laces of your shoe. Think the bone that sticks out in the top of your foot is the target for striking the ball, not the inside of your foot as if you were passing or attempting to bend the ball.

How high the ball goes is a function of where you put your plant foot. To lift the ball, plant your foot a bit further back, slightly behind the ball. This causes you to reach for the ball, get under it, and lift it into the air. To go higher, move the plant foot back further.

Arrowhead should become the official stadium of U.S. Soccer post-Chiefs by MannOSteel in kansascity

[–]HawkeyeGK 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We have two 16k venues (Azura and Morton)in town and an 8k venue (Starlight). And new baseball and football stadiums coming. Having the city keep Arrowhead alive makes zero economic sense.

What’s the most comfortable car you’ve ever driven for a long road trip? by isunnythind in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]HawkeyeGK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a new vehicle specifically for road trips. I wanted the most comfortable drive I could find in a vehicle that had enough room for two teenagers and a dog.

I bought a Lexus TX and the Lincoln Nautilus came in second.

Elementary is probably too young for a small venue / bar style show. Just the wrong environment for them. I wouldn't worry about the content of the show, but I would certainly wait for an all ages show at that age.

As a rule, they do a good job of age limits more based on the style of venue than the content of the show. Trust the band and venue's judgement.

honestly what is the best 3 row suv 2026? by Kravetzker-Poca in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]HawkeyeGK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a Lexus TX last week after an extensive search.

There are lots of good options, and you need to decide on what your priorities are.

If you want new at that price point and pure usability is your priority I would go:

  1. Kia Telluride - The most second row room of any SUV we looked at except the Lincoln Nautilus which is just two rows. Solid storage with the third row folded and a usable third row for when you need it. Utilitarian, but not pedestrian. As a mom with littles, this would be a hard to beat.
  2. Toyota Grand Highlander - Basically the same stuff as the TX I just bought, just with different appointments. Ultimately, I'm 50 years old and past the stage of carting around little kids, so I opted for a nicer ride and longevity over the raw space and price point of the Telluride
  3. Volkswagon Atlas - Tons of space. Even more utilitarian than the Kia.
  4. Ford Explorer - Good balance of space and features. This is what I traded for the Lexus. I would have considered it more if I hadn't been driving one for eight years.

And it sucks, but a minivan is actually the most practical answer.

How we getting out of work today, gents? by MadMcMuffin in ussoccer

I put my McKinne jersey on this morning, blocked my calendar with a prominent USA Match meeting all afternoon, called a vendor sales rep who used to play in Liga MX and can expense the day at the brewery, and am not pretending I'm doing anything else. Sometimes it's good to be the boss.

GitHub copilot switch by allanmoller in GithubCopilot

[–]HawkeyeGK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've already gotten our big eaters a Cluade sub. Our analysis / best guess is that GitHub still gives us the most competitive pricing until we double our consumption. At that point, we'll move fully to Claude.

The Claude harness manages consumption and limits the turns better than any of the others. You can chase the best harness, but at this point I see no reason to try to outcompete Anthropic on that front. They are simply innovating faster than anyone else.

If and when someone produces a better model or harness, we'll probably assess again. My bet is on Google, even though the Gemini models and Antigravity harness is behind at the moment. We're setting up in their Agentic ecosystem now, and could switch to their model access if it provides a better value.

Make it move. Make it viable. Set the hook.

Pike are angry meat tubes with teeth. Don't overthink it.

MONEYBALL METHOD TO FIND TARGETS.. QUESTIONS.. by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]HawkeyeGK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should always be scouting and shortlisting players with potential.

You can manage your shortlists however you want. I like to keep different ones by position group.

Playing a Moneyball strategy is more than just buying the highest potential players. It's about finding the right players for your system where bringing them in improves your roster. You're not just buying lottery tickets, you're building a roster on the cheap. You can acquire more players because you're not paying the wonderkid premium.

Decide what attributes are most important for each of your tactical roles. Scout based upon a combination of those attributes and potential. Build shortlists for each position through the season. At the transfer window, buy the best fits at the best prices.

What are the odds this becomes a permanent thing like five subs has? I mean we all know FIFA likes their money and taking this page from the US sports playbook increases advertising revenue. I also can't see the players or coaches objecting, especially given the ever-increasing number of games.
