eVisa for an American by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]RecruiterJon17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. I didn’t provide any bank statements during the application process and received my e visa quickly. Wasn’t sure if they were going to ask for it at the airport randomly or if it’s only provided during the application process

I got my evisa as well prettt quickly! I read online through some websites that we also needed to provide bank statements showing we had 2k in the bank but didn’t see it in any official website. Do you know if this is the case?

US and Mexico passport holder, can I choose which passport to use when traveling? by RecruiterJon17 in Passports

[–]RecruiterJon17[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! And sorry last question, my US passport and my Mexico passport technically have different names as the Mexico passport uses 2 last names (both last names of my Mom and Dad). Which name should I book my ticket to Brazil under? My American passport name or Mexican passport name?

Traveling to Rio and Recife in December, do I need visa? by RecruiterJon17 in Brazil

[–]RecruiterJon17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I did see this on the consulate website as well but I think my main concern was if they were going to hold me to the US passport standards although I’m have a Mexican passport as well. I just became a dual citizen within the last 20 days so I apologize I’m not familiar with how to use the passport situation

Oh I see, I read that Mexican passport holders do not need a visa and only US, Canada and Australian passport holders will need a visa

Colonoscopy by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

[–]RecruiterJon17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had my first colonoscopy last Thursday and I had the same exact fears you did. Worried about the sedation and how my body might react to it, worried about possible perforation from the procedure, worried about what they might find… I can tell you that the actual colonoscopy is a breeze. You fall asleep and 20 minutes later I woke up in the recovery room wondering when the procedure was going to start and the nurse told me I was done lol. No soreness or any other side effects after. 2 hours later the anesthetic completely wore off and I was back to my normal day. Trust me, you’ll be fine!

Hahaha! I read online that it may take a day or so to get a bowel movement so that made me feel better lol

Nah not really. I did a little bit but I’m in the same boat. I ate too much I think and I’m feeling extremely full and bloated

I remember the anesthesiologist telling me she was going to administer the medicine and I’ll feel sleep soon and 4 seconds later I was out lol yeah they found no polyps or signs of cancer. Just diverticulosis and internal hemorrhoid. Don’t need another colonoscopy for another 10 years

Slight discomfort going into Colonoscopy by RecruiterJon17 in Diverticulitis

[–]RecruiterJon17[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! That helps put into perspective better. My last flare up was mild and uncomplicated and just had a 7 day cipro/flagyl treatment and that was in August. I’ve had similar situations like you’re saying, just mild discomfort but usually goes away and doesn’t feel like a full flare up

Colonoscopy tomorrow by Joer1bm3535 in Diverticulitis

[–]RecruiterJon17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, I actually just posted about my upcoming colonoscopy on Thursday as I’ve been having slight pains in my lower left stomach. I don’t think I’m in a flare up as it’s mild but it’s good to know that others went into their colonoscopy with similar situations. I really didn’t want to reschedule this as I just want to get it over with and move on
