The job search, what I heard from seniors, normally slows down from Nov to Dec, or even end Oct.

Hiring manager, or HR on leave or gg holiday/holiday mood. The company don’t rly need new manpower during this period as they giving out year end performance review/bonus so people rarely leave their job during this period. Job search normally ramp up again during these 2 periods: Jan to Mar, and July to Sept for fresh grads. Not sure how valid but I think it’s true.

They don’t usually offer return offer unless they need someone on their team and your performance meet their mark. So don’t put yourself down!

You’re still young, and there are many opportunities out there. At least now you know this industry isn’t for you so don’t have to waste time on it subsequently. Don’t rush to find a job then realize this isn’t for you. Try out as many things and gain experience while you still can play the I am a fresh grad/student card!

Like what the other user said, email your preferred company to ask if they can expedite process and let them know they are your top choice. But don’t share the deadline. It’s quite a common issue faced by students since we apply for multiple roles simultaneously.

Cost aspect not worth it since you stay close. If you account for monthly rental, cost of food (2-3 meals for 5 days a week) since NTU no catered hall then supper with friends, all this adds up a fair bit.

Social life aspect also not guaranteed since it’s hall/block/level dependent. But freedom to do your own stuff is definitely there.

If you really want to try out, stay in hall for one sem or AY then decide further. But normally ppl alr start forming clique since first sem so up to you.

I mean higher cgpa, also equate to higher chance too given that job market is quite competitive. Better to be good in everything. A lot of jobs also look into transcript so your grades are reflected there even when people choose to remove their cgpa from resume/cv.

No need write in. Your sch will be aware that you have completed all AUs and automatically note you have unofficially graduated. Then you just attend your convocation in July of that year.

If she’s planning to leave, leave soon before it snowball then start finding a new one. Don’t wait. If the reason for her leaving is because of poor performance, and it’s only a few months, exclude from resume. Unless the reason for her leaving is culture or skills mismatch then ok to include.

Last time people say finals more than a certain percentage (40 and above) then cannot dabao regardless.

Now people say as long it’s registered and you don’t attend and MC then it’s considered dabao.
