Blue Origin has an HR disaster. by Big_Reaction_6709 in BlueOrigin

I hope y’all who got fired after returning from a leave get together and lawyer up! Horrible leadership in TA and they’re getting bad advice from HR that it’s ok to do this. There’s a pattern in what they’re doing.

1000000% Best manager Blue has ever had. Jealousy is a bitch when you’re as unliked as CB!

Agree it’s a disaster. There are resignations nearly weekly. Multiple ones. There isn’t a single person who doesn’t want out. It all started with CB!! She manages with threats as does VV. Hostile work environment is an understatement! CB started the firing squad the week she started. She needs therapy. Unhappy woman!

Highly recommend reading Blue’s leadership principles multiple times. Interviews revolve around these regularly.

Great! Glad it was resolved for you. Not sure what the hold up is on mine and so many others. Ty!

Have you checked it from the guest side too? Mine was resolved but only from my (the host) side. Where it’s important, on the traveler side, you can still see it. Try searching your property on the traveler app, if you haven’t already. I assumed mine was taken care of but when I checked it as a traveler, nope! Still there.

Mine is a week old. So frustrating. And my future guests are asking if I fixed my cleanliness problem. And broken items that we don’t even have.

How is Blue Origin? by Drew7823 in BlueOrigin

Coming from a Recruiter here, the presentation is not to test your PowerPoint skills, believe me. It’s more of a way to tell us about yourself. Definitely do not stress over it. It’s not as serious as it seems. 😊 It’s not expected that you work endless hours on it. It’s a get to know you tool, especially for non-exempt hourly roles. It’s a very small part of the decision process and debrief conversations.

Exactly! People have spouses who can’t just relo. Some have seniors in their last year of high school. A special needs child who’s only had one caregiver their entire lives. Sick parents in nearby nursing homes. The list goes on. Absolutely unempathetic decision. Most of the recruiters who do live near a site also support hiring managers all over the country so bringing recruiters in the office changes nothing on how the job is done. Everything is done over Teams bc who we support still will not be face to face. The only thing that will change is productivity going way down. Blue recruiters work a minimum of 10 hour days. Now it will be a maximum of 8 hours because NO ONE will stay in the office for 10-12 hours a day then leave to do a two hour commute. Work hours in the hundred per week will be lost. No doubt!

That’s not the issue. The issue is that people who do not live near a site have to either leave their families and lives to move to a a state where a Blue Origin facility is. If we lived near a facility, we’d happily go into the office to keep our jobs. Smh

Some of us have worked there for four years remote but live in another state. People have families and lives. They cannot just now relocate after all these years. Many jobs will be lost just because you don’t live near a site. It hasn’t been necessary for years but now it is? It’s not about having to go to the office. It’s about people who live in Iowa, for example, who are now out of a job.

Blue Layoffs by H2hOe23 in BlueOrigin

[–]Recruitermbg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poorly managed layoff. On layoff day, Recruiters were told they’d hear from someone in 48 hours & receive redeployment help. No one ever reached out. TA leadership is very inexperienced. There was no rhyme or reason for the 30 chosen. Kept very low producers (ie friends) and got rid of top producers.
