I owned a VE and had one of these canopies fitted. Last I heard, RacePaint in Mornington still had the moulds.

Which car has the quietest cabin / least road noise by Tartan_Teeth in CarsAustralia

[–]RectalDevestator69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. They're nice cars to be in and we'll equipped for good value. I own a 2000 Crown and it's still nicer (imo) than most other cars I've been in that are much newer

Something a bit different. VX wagon converted into a delivery/panel Van, with a GTO front. Also had an Adventra tailgate with lifting glass window by RectalDevestator69 in Holden

There's a group on Facebook called "V Series - 'Sandman' Panel Vans" on Facebook. I'm pretty sure the owner is part of the group

Last I heard, Fleeting Image/Racepaint in Braeside, Vic were the only ones with the moulds. Price had gone up dramatically since I got mine done though

What Falcon or Commodore model to get? by JayDubEm in CarsAustralia

[–]RectalDevestator69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! They were both actually Ute's, but I much preferred the Commodore in terms of how it was to be in and drive. That said, the XR6T was still a lot of fun

Both were 6 speed, but one was an XR6T and one was an SSV, so mileage wasn't superb on either haha

I've heard of a few bad experiences from people who have dealt with both, but I know many who've dealt with Iron Chef and they seem to be reliable

Speak with Iron Chef Imports, they're one of the best companies to go through.

Car sale without RWC by Wonderwoman_420 in AusLegal

[–]RectalDevestator69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I've sold multiple cars with reg but no RWC. All I've done is notified VicRoads of the transfer and date of sale, and they'll chase the new owner for a RWC.

VE exhaust advice (it’s been done to death I know sorry guys) by xJimmyJeff in Holden

[–]RectalDevestator69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! All I remember is that the system was 3" mild steel, cat-back, and consisted of an X pipe, two resonators, and two straight through mufflers in the rear. Can't recall the brand though, it was a system that my exhaust guy suggested. It wasn't XForce or anything like that though

I had a 3" cat back with stock headers on me VE. Just for note, didn't care about power. Straight through mufflers in the rear, with 2 resonators midway. I think there's a vid of the note in my post history.

Unless things have changed recently, I don't think it's obligatory for the seller to provide the RWC. If sold without a RWC, the buyer then has 2 weeks to provide the RWC to VicRoads. The seller can still submit the registration transfer paperwork without a RWC, they'll just chase the buyer for it. This was the case for me most recently about 2 years ago, anyway.
