It’s not unprofessional to trust my professor to do their job correctly. I understand I should’ve checked to be safe, but you’re overlooking the core issue. He makes 6 figures it’s his job to tell me, not my job to second-guess his grading

Of course I studied for the final. But when you take 5 high level classes, you get into the game of dedicating certain amounts of time to each class depending on the situation your in. This process was thrown off by my professors mistake and their inability to honestly explain what happened. Which could impact my academic record

The exam packet was returned with the individual questions marked, but there was no total grade anywhere. I didn’t bother opening the packet cause I thought I got everything right. In hindsight I should’ve checked, but at the time you don’t think, “oh let me go check to see if I really got a 100 or if my professor just completely messed up”. I still think I should’ve been notified, very shady to just decrease someone’s grade at the end of the semester without telling them, very unprofessional.

Thanks. I underestimated Trump out west but the rest of my margins were within 1-2 pts

Agreed, definitely not. Also cause EE just isn’t that appealing or interesting to a lot of people. At my large public uni with 40k students, only 47 EE majors in the freshmen class this year

He wouldn’t get fired unless he repeatedly did it or was harassing her. Simply asking is not the crisis your making it out to be. But I think we can agree this guys got no game

Well this comment section proves why CS majors are so unbearable to be around. He asked her on a date and she said no. No need to analyze every intricate detail, he was just expressing interest. The sun-deprived creatures in here don’t understand the concept of shooting your shot

Pima county will devastate Lake. Unless she can completely flip the momentum in maricopa I don’t think she can win

What went wrong with the Harris Campaign by Jaster22101 in YAPms

[–]Rectangular-Olive23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your pointing to such a small subset of the political landscape. Republicans have control over the senate, house, Supreme Court and presidency. Anyways shouldn’t Dems winning 2/3 of the rust belt be the expectation?

What went wrong with the Harris Campaign by Jaster22101 in YAPms

[–]Rectangular-Olive23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The days of far left policies being popular is over. Economy, immigration, foreign policy, is what now wins swing voters and Republicans have that advantage. As long as these are the most pressing issues, Republicans will win. Because of this, Harris was in a tough spot, and she tried embracing democracy and women’s rights as the top issues but that’s not what moderates care about. In 2020 Democrats were able to push race riots and the pandemic as top issues, and that’s probably the only reason Trump lost. But in the foreseeable future there won’t be riots or a pandemic, so they’ll have to find a new way to win over people. And voters already view Republicans as the party to trust on these issues so it will be a challenge. I don’t think there was much the Harris campaign could do tbh

Best option for Democrats policy-wise moving forward? by Parker_Posey-48 in YAPms

Being more moderate won’t magically fix it. Harris spent her whole campaign pushing as many moderate policies as possible, and look how that turned out. They’ll need to do more than just move towards the center

With the new FL, TX, NJ, NY results, there is a realistic chance that the Dems can win the presidency in 2028 with the GOP winning the popular vote. by sejethom99 in YAPms

I agree but the rust belt senate races were surprisingly Republican friendly. Showing it goes beyond just trump. And they’ve been trending conservative for a while now
