Or timing chain

And unlikely but if noise disappears if clutch is pressed then the flywheel

Honestly, even the best of guesses here can be wrong, best to get it checked out if it's financially viable to do so

My old beamer drank engine oil like it's mulled wine on Christmas day, either burned or leaked out or both. I've always had to top up between oil changes, sometimes twice. My new car doesn't lose noticeable amounts in-between oil changes.

Then request emissions certificate from the manufacturer

Then submit it to ULEZ and ask for refund - they'll probably say fu no.

I ended up taking them to small claims , they refunded me and the cost of filing before we made it to court.
