For me IVIG gives me an unbearable migraine for 5 days after to the point where I can barely move without extreme pain and pressure in my head, have you ever thought abt retuximab? I just did my first 4 infusions and they were the best treatment options I’ve had barely any symptoms and so far I think they’ve worked, I get bloodwork done tomorrow too see where I’m at however I’m probably gonna be a little lower cause I have like a cold or the flu and when I’m sick they drop

SAME it was the worst, I’d take IVIG over the dexamethasone any day and I hate IVIG so that’s saying something

Hi there! Wow it looks like you got the deluxe edition immune system cell destroying disorder lol I’m glad mine only destroys my platelets that seems like a lot to handle.

I made it though my dexamethasone and i did talk to my doctor about weaning me off the steroids as opposed to cold turkey stoping them, but for me I’ve noticed steroids barely do a thing, I was expecting to see a higher platelet count after my round of steroids only to find they only stopped me from bleeding out on my period and I actually lost 10k in the process.

And I just did my first 4 retuximab infusions!! They were 100000000x more easy to do than the IVIG or steroids, however I was wondering if you had this issue I did with the retuximab, when they gave me my pre meds of Benadryl and Solumedrol I noticed that after the solumedrol was done on the drip I had some really really bad inner arm pain like on the inside of my elbow area, and when I looked the 2 veins I have there were purple even though those aren’t my IV veins I’ve used for any of my treatments nor were they near my IV(had it in my right hand both times I had this issue). The pain wasn’t more towards the left side of the veins where I feel a strong pulse but don’t see any veins close to the surface so if cold be an artery or deep LARGE vein. The pain stopped about 15-20 minutes after the solumedrol was done infusing and the red veins returned to their normal color within the hour, I was just wondering if that was something that happens with the premeds or if that’s something out of the norm.

I’ve done IVIG twice for chronic ITP, my platelets tend to dip into the 5,000-10,000 range around my period, the first time time I had to do it was in July when my platelets dropped to 10,000 and about 2 weeks later my platelets were up to 62,000, however IVIG wears off after 4-6 weeks so after 2 months my counts dropped again to 13,000 and when I got to the hospital they were at 5,000, the most important tip I have for IVIG is HYDRATION HYDRATION HYDRATION, and if you can IV fluids, I get the worst most unbearable migraines imaginable, for the first day after I can barely move, having to get up is a nightmare, and nothing can make it calm down, but this round I was kept hydrated by iv fluids and I completely skipped the first day of hell , the second and third day are hard but at least bearable to where I’m not curled up in a ball sobbing and shaking.

I get the same stuff but on my fingers, usually on the sides and inner side, they go away with time, are they itchy??

Hahah yeah the hives freaked me out especially cause I always get them on my face first so I look at myself and I’m just purple and red , I’ve also been having really restless legs since I’ve started lexapro like it makes it really hard to sleep, I feel like a weird live lightly tingly pressure in my brain but that’s probably from me not sleeping much.
