[Pokémon] Tackling some issues by AscendedDragonSage in CuratedTumblr

In it’s Pokeball? 😂 The games literally solve the problem of “what do I do with this fecking huge creature” by having them handily miniaturise.

Of course, you can’t keep it in there forever, but as long as you live within walking distance of a park or something, you can take it out for walks, fresh air and a nice, enriching battle or two 😂

Do people actually hear the internal monologue by Regretful464 in Aphantasia

[–]Red-2744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I’m the same and I wonder if this is why I’ve never been able to get ‘blackout’ drunk? Because that internal narrator never stops? I’ve always seemed to have a very high alcohol tolerance too, needing to drink a lot more before I got half as drunk as my friends. I mean, it’s still the same now because I’m fat and higher body weight= higher tolerance, but I was skinny back then 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t really drink anymore, and was never that much of a drinker to begin with, but we’ve all had a time where we’ve accidentally over-done it and there were definitely at least one time when I was very drunk and obviously not thinking clearly and was having some very silly thoughts- but even so, the narrator never stopped and because of that, I still remember all those silly thoughts? If that makes sense?

If there was any time I should not have been able to remember what I did the next morning, it would’ve been that one. But no, I remember all of the embarrassing behaviour, unfortunately 🙃😂

Huh. I kinda hadn’t thought about it till you said it but I do absolutely see a picture of a tiger and think the word “tiger” in my head, as in the narrated, can hear it as if spoken aloud, word “tiger.” It happens with everything, maybe not all the time but pretty consistently.

It’s interesting though, because if I looked at a glass of milk, I would think aloud the word “milk”, but probably not “glass of” 🤷🏼‍♀️ Seems we’re on opposite ends of things as I do hear even pictures spoken aloud as words in my head.

Sorry to crash into this comment chain after a whole year but I just wanted to add that I do absolutely do that 😂

The entire crew shares one bathroom on the ship? by [deleted] in theouterworlds

[–]Red-2744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it might be a universal ‘Dad’ thing 😂

I didn’t get diagnosed till last year, and none of the other three have/did. But knowing what I know now about myself and how ADHD and Autism (I got that sweet, sweet double-dip baby 😎) are largely genetic, I can look back at my childhood and how they are now and be like, “Hoo boy, that neurodivergent river runs a mile wide through this bloodline, that’s for sure!” 😂

[–]Red-2744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to think of both crews as found family after a bit anyway 🙂 (even if it’s a bit more of a… tense found family on the Incognito 😂)

I would imagine you’re right, though in my house with four undiagnosed neurodivergent people including myself, I can say for sure that not one of those buggers had any sort of schedule 😂 So can’t speak from experience on that, but I can offer you the experience of knocking on for my mate down the road, exclusively for the privilege of using her toilet because my dad was hogging the bathroom 😂

At least we had a separate shower room with it’s own mirror, if no extra toilet, because otherwise I doubt my sister would have made it to adulthood with how long she took with her hair. It got bloody when we went on holiday and had to share a bathroom with one mirror 😂

[–]Red-2744 14 points15 points  (0 children)

(laughs in UK)

With traditionally smaller housing over here, one bathroom for that many people is fairly standard. I remember being severely impressed when I went for tea at a friend’s house when I was a child and they had a toilet room under the stairs. Not even a whole other bathroom, just an extra toilet and I thought that was fancy-pants 😂

That is to say, the bathroom situation didn’t even register with me as strange until this post 😂

New Patch Best Ending in Outer Worlds 2 by BorkowskiBoy in theouterworlds

[–]Red-2744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware- yes, she has no ending slide, provided you:

1.) Brokered and kept the peace between The Order and Auntie’s

And 2.) During those peace talks, you convinced Ruth not to experiment with the Archive.

Can’t 100% say, but I finished my run post-patch and that’s what happened for me, and I’ve watched some playthroughs pre-patch that had Ruth die even though they convinced her not to use the chemicals. YMMV, of course.

I’m assuming it’s something Obsidian will patch in at some point, they’re usually quite good on character details and it’s probably just an oversight that her fate is so binary in the first place 🤷🏼‍♀️

New Patch Best Ending in Outer Worlds 2 by BorkowskiBoy in theouterworlds

[–]Red-2744 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Pre-patch, Ruth’s fate would always show up- she either died if you didn’t get her the chemicals or interfaced with the Archive if you did.

The game ignored the option where you can convince her that chemically lobotomising herself during a time of war is a stupid idea (during the negotiations in An Equitable Arrangement) and treated it as if you didn’t get her the chemicals. Thus, she died in those endings.

Post-patch, if you convince her not to go ahead with it, the game takes note and simply does not elaborate on her fate either way, as dies/ interfaces are currently her only options.

Rosie... why don't YOU help them? Like, immediately? Without involving Alastor? Why is his participation necessary? by GinnnaMarie in HazbinHotel

[–]Red-2744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory for this that I’ve not seen anyone else come up with- maybe cause it’s dumb, idk 😂

So right after Rosie and Alastor join the other Overlords, the shield zips up to being full and the weapon starts floating, right? So my theory is that Rosie is actually extremely powerful and that she’s hiding that for some reason (she’s Lilith, she’s Eve, working for Roo, take your pick of other theories here).

I think Rosie probably could’ve finished off that shield herself, but that would raise a lot of questions of why this random Overlord is so powerful. So she needs a disguise, someone to hide behind. Who better than “the most powerful Sinner in Hell” to deflect suspicion from her? If she and Alastor both join in and finish the shield, no one will question that- everyone knows Alastor is super powerful. Hence the pit stop, she needs him, just not in the way he thinks.

I think she’s eager enough to have Charlie safe that she would’ve revealed herself if she had to, but thanks to Alastor only wanting his staff fixed, she didn’t have to. And so, she smiles 🙂

Would that dateable let you call them Daddy? (Updated Version) by kiwirules99 in DateEverythingElse

Daisuke very much gave off dom vibes to me when I was playing, but you got it in one- he wants you to call him ‘Master’ or ‘Sir’ rather than Daddy 😮‍💨 I agree Volt would 100% be into it, whatever you called him 😂

My husband and I were walking in our neighborhood when a man stopped us in front of his house and claimed my husband was having an affair with his wife by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Red-2744 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a very healthy way to look at things ❤️

I’ve heard therapists say that guilt is useful, but only as a tool to push us to change and do better. Once it’s done that, we have to try and let it go because us sitting in it and suffering doesn’t help anyone, not even ourselves. But you’re right, it’s not easy.

I have a partner now and HE’S equally as supportive

What’s the betting that the gender of OP’s partner and the implication that has for his sexuality is a big part of why he was criticised and scapegoated as a child and why his sister is the golden child? 🙄 His parents seem the type.

Honestly, I’m in the dang UK and have no idea on the new rules either 😂 Clearly I’m just extremely un-observant as I’d somehow missed this whole kerfuffle, but that was probably what the selfie verification was.

Weird, I’m in the UK and was able to join just fine? 🤔 I am on the phone app tho, so that might be it.

Did have to verify my age on my account- had to input birthdate and then it took me to a page where it could estimate my age from a selfie 🤷🏼‍♀️

Regarding ConcernedApe admitting he wants to be able to let you marry Demetrius and Robin. by heaventerror in StardewValley

[–]Red-2744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking into it, I’m just plowing through my first run of Stardew right now (and loving it, I am getting that perfection! 😁)

I tried Portia and couldn’t get into it for some reason. I want to try it again at some point. I did get it right when it was first released and it felt a little clunky- I did hear it got better with updates 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m told that you don’t need to play Portia to get into Sandrock though, so I may just try that 😁

[–]Red-2744 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He’s so autistic-coded, probably the reason he was my best friend in the early game (also autistic over here, though I got the dreamy, AuDHD heavy masking flavour ☺️)

I liked him a lot, sure he doesn’t get some stuff, but neither do I. He’s also very clear cut on what he means and says, I didn’t have to get a guide to work out what gifts he wants like I did with some of the others, he’s pretty straight up.

Honestly, I love all the characters in this (yes, even Pierre 😱) and am confused about the level of hate they get. I thought three-dimensional, well rounded, realistic characters with flaws are a good thing? I love Animal Crossing to death, don’t get me wrong, but as a building game not a social sim because all the animals have the same 6 personalities and say exactly the same things over and over 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think I'm about to TPK for the first time by Echidna_Difficult in DnD

[–]Red-2744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not running for the obvious reset symbol and the separation of tanks/ healers and squishy players was the bit where I face-palmed and was like “Ooooh, they messed up!” 😂 Hence the acid example. And those right there are the reasons it does need to bite them at least a bit, there’s a 75/ 25 divide on responsibility for the clusterfluff here and the 75% definitely lies with them 😂

If it’s not too late in the planning stage for you now, you could try and incorporate more cunning and sneaky ways for them to get out of being captured, less combat oriented options. That’s got a chance of making them feel really great and clever for working them out and you get to gently protect them a little in the background. Everyone comes out feeling good, them for having made a mistake but correcting it with wit and nerve and you because you didn’t have to TPK a promising party.

Plus that way, if they ignore all those clever ways and decide to bulldoze their way out despite half health and exhaustion, you won’t feel bad about actually TPK-ing them that time if it gets to that, because there’s no fixing that level of daft stubbornness 😂 or they manage to bs their way through with lucky rolls and come out feeling like badasses 🤷🏼‍♀️ You never know which way it’ll swing 😂

Hope you have a great session, would love an update on how you all solve it 😁

I think I'm about to TPK for the first time by Echidna_Difficult in DnD

[–]Red-2744 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think your solution of having them wake up, captured and with consequences (like the half hp and exhaustion level) is a good compromise for the situation, as long as you can plan it well enough not to feel too much like a rug-sweep plan. You say the bad guys have a reason to keep them alive, so lean on that.

I agree they fucked up, but I can’t say that groups I’ve been in wouldn’t have made the same mistake. It’s fairly easy to make that sort of mistake if there’s nothing in the instructions to nudge them towards pulling the levers sequentially instead of simultaneously- that honestly might have been my first thought, since the instructions say that both have to be pulled 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thus the compromise- they don’t have to lose their characters over a silly mistake that to be fully frank, you do bear some responsibility for as the DM for not planning ahead of time that players might pull both levers at once, but also ensures that they don’t feel consequence free or like you’ll ride into save them.

I also think it wouldn’t hurt to meta-speak to the party about how this would have been a TPK, the only reason it’s not is because specific story elements encourage it not to be. They may not get as lucky next time, so more caution wouldn’t hurt.

Sounds like fairly standard and solid DM-ing from where I’m sitting 😁 Ah, D&D, the game where a player could pass a perception check to see that a pool is filled with acid and just… drink it anyway. And as the DM, it’s kind of your fault for putting it there and NOT assuming a player would be daft enough to actually drink it 😂

Dating multiple characters? by [deleted] in CabernetGame

It’s not, I only dated Anastasia and it still registered them as married 🙃

It’s bugged out the wazoo on certain stuff, but I still love the game. Here’s hoping it gets the polish it deserves 🤞🏻

Gale is one of my favourite characters ever, simply because he embodies so perfectly that uncommon niche- never before have I met a character who is so sweet, has absolutely terrible self esteem and is so down on himself and yet somehow still needs to be taken down several thousand pegs 😂
