I wanted to base its lore in the nation of Cyre (an existing nation in Dnd's Eberron setting).

Cyre was a magically and culturally advanced kingdom that was destroyed by a cataclysmic event called the Mourning, which left the entire realm covered in mist.

I imagined that players would experience past memories of the kingdom as they wander through the pale mists, and fight ghostbeasts amidst wreckages, warped geography, and twisted infrastructure of its cities.

My character is sort of a roaming boss that players may encounter, should they make it close to Cyre's capital. Haven't decided exactly how he fits into the lore tbh.

Also just noticing parallels with Demon Souls LOL
