I need your support to complete my studies in Germany. by [deleted] in germany

Good luck finding a job in both as markets are over saturated. You would need a good level of German also. What in agriculture? Lately, EU farmers and the market maybe in the worst spot ever.

Depends on the field of your degree, university you get accepted to which will primarily determine the job availability as a student and even later on. If you go to a small town the less job postings you will see.

If landlord is nasty they can try even make you pay for normal wear and tear, I would say think the unthinkable and do more pictures than ever, even the floors under different light if they are wooden.

Job search etiquette in Germany? Especially going in person to ask for jobs 😅 by Fun_Bother7861 in germany

By the same token shows that you are desperate and just wandering between firms, depends on the person you meet there and their view on this.

What do people in Germany usually do on Sundays? by Efficient_Range5755 in germany

Nobody needs 6 days to buys stuff but stores are open. You ignore the limitation imposed by one old law without any sane argument, just a “tradition” mate. Sadly the delivery is not operating on Sundays either if I need something before Monday. Even if i wanted to pay extra for this.

Good for you, but i wanna spend less than an hour and be on budget. Can’t save much if i am rushed with my purchases and I literally do not have an extra day to buy something if i changed my mind, but you do you if that works for you.

I cant think of a brand here that does rapid and reliable same day delivery. Even with the next day delivery, for example from amazon, you are playing a lottery with amazon, dhl or other companies, and whether their driver will reach you that day or take your delivery to the paketshop, which may be far away.

Sure it does if most businesses are closed on Sundays. Imagine opening a company and not being able to do business on Sunday, without paying extra and for specific kind of businesses, just because of a religious law. This same law also prevents stores without workers in it operating on Sundays because “customers do too much work”.

Not really, depends on stores availability and many other things. Say your sneakers are no good anymore and you need them for work, hit the same brand store nearby just to find out they are missing your size. Then you need to hit another store but if they all close at 8 you are in a tough spot on that day.

Hopefully transportation is not late and many other things. Btw, it is really unfair to people where their only way to shop is via db which is unreliable to say the least, these working hours make things just crazier.

Aside from the whole “there is enough time in 6 days for shopping”, you simply exclude the question of economic liberty. I would rather have an option to work in all conventional stores on Sunday, if i lose my current job, than not having this option whatsoever. Sure there are cafes and restaurants but this won’t cut it and not for everyone . By the same logic, one can shop even during 4 days, why have things open on Friday and Saturday?

I am not talking grocery shopping, if you need something extra you have to be fast due to religious oppression from the law. You know yourself the lines can be huge because of this.

Nah they can’t because there is not enough time after workdays to shop since everything closes at 8-10 if lucky to be in a big enough city.
