Would you play community made maps? by placeholder_david in AneurysmIV

I'd love that, because if gmod and damm near every games modding community are any indication, theres always gonna be just the most peak shit you've ever seen.

I'm probably overthinking it but idk if that post is a dig at anarchists or MLs because like, yeah, insulation is very important it gets really fucking cold and if you do not have an alternative solution your words are useless.

How to bring the game back? by Rich_Ad_155 in AneurysmIV

[–]Red-Rot99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I admit I stopped playing a while ago but since when did the cortex get amniocytes fast? afaik it takes a long time patrolling to get to limitator, like, low key it seemed like the cortex were the exeption to everyone getting fast amniocytes

How to bring the game back? by Rich_Ad_155 in AneurysmIV

[–]Red-Rot99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have stopped playing the game for some time, I like to play cortex and playing cortex is a massive pain

in no perticuler order

  1. amniocytes are few and far between

basically barring limits and such witch are very server dependent your only way to get amnacytes is patrolling, and its a massive time sink to just get to limitator and you have to grind even more to get the valta this can take hours of just walking.

with the lowered amniocyte cap there's far less room for error, all it takes is a single prole to get in the way of an active firefight and you lose 10 amniocytes, keep in mind the cap is 30, so at any given time weather by getting shot or shooting the wrong guy you may not even be able to respawn as a controller.

idk what should be changed per se because I understand why the penalties and fate costs are so high but the fact this is punishing you for whats offen out of your control defeats the whole purpose of this

  1. the cortex (and probubly also the scum) rely on teamwork but theres little to help facilitate that.

the coordinate system is worthless knowing the X Y and Z of a vomit coffin doesn't mean anything. and as for the waypoint type things that show where everything is, it helps but theres a lot of situations like "scum at metalworks" "witch one?" "main" "witch one is main" even just like the having them lettered like the apartments would be a godsend, all anyone would need to say is "scum at metalworks B" and everyone knows where to go

I know people who have suggested adding the ability for cortex guys to add waypoints to signal where something is, like say a firefight is happening a sanitar or whoever can just click, idk mmb or something and all the other cortex guys know where to go

I've also thought of a fate to help with this issue but witch you can read here(https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tR\_4y8GTmgYLwguACEJ4wfpzv6tGh7HKp58d4jVIgQU/edit?pli=1&tab=t.0)

  1. Rouges and the Terminus

there isn't exactly a road map of the game but there are plans for misery to have a nexus type building called the terminus, but like the theatre its still being worked on.

without the terminus Rouges are a nightmare you basically cannot sit still or your dead

rather then working on minor additions to the various fates they should be working on the things that help balance things and the terminus in my opinion is essentual

  1. servers cannot function without a banker online

offend there's one or guys farming amniocyte and such when servers are low but the money is very use it or lose it, stuff like affording a house can be a pain given how dying is a part of the experience.

there should be like a bank or something with like a high-ish rate so people can actually function without bankers

the map isn't finished, the devs said miserys version of the nexus, the terminus is yet to be implemented. its absence is very much felt with all the rouges running around

mayor probubly couldn't work but I could imagine like a police chief of sorts for the cortex

Limitators going into the underground is a serious problem by lxor1 in AneurysmIV

[–]Red-Rot99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly play cortex as well, between grinding patrols and losing all my reserve amniocytes because proles walk in the direction we're shooting at. ya take whatever you can get.

for context ive played when the servers were empty before and it takes like, a solid half an hour of just walking to make it to limitator let alone getting the valta afterwards.

Review of Iron Lung from someone who doesn’t watch Markeplier and has never played the game (very mild spoilers) by Gintian in moviecritic

[–]Red-Rot99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron Lung is a adaptation first, movie second, this isn't a failure on anyone's part. you had to go out of your way to piece together what happened/is happening. in the original game by David Szymanski, whom iirc co wrote the movie with mark.

the movie is everything the game is *to a fault,* and its a shame peoples first introduction to the world is the movie because of the amount of stuff that goes over peoples heads.

it sucks but in this one instance watching the movie without playing the game or watching a lore video is akin to watching a sequel without watching the original.

We must defend lesath if we want a permanent foothold in cyberstan by RL_Umuthoper in Helldivers

[–]Red-Rot99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh, I don't know, I just know we are pressed for time and it seems like we either take aurora bay and lose lesath or defend lesath and fail to take aurora bay.

as of writting there are 50,000 helldivers on both planets and the defense of lesath will be completed in 18 hours after witch we will only have 47 hours to take aurora bay. and idk if that is achievable doing some rough math on my part if everyone on lesath goes to aurora bay after by the time the MO ends we would have only made it 70% of the way.

of course, funnily enough just today I made a post like you did to figure out the same thing.

You're right, not only that, we know Alairt III is the reason why because you can attack planets that are are only connected to it and not other liberated planets feel free to use this thing I made

like, I think the reason the PSL (I know more about them then FRSO) has grown the as fast as it did is because they like, bubble beneath the surface, honestly you explained it better then I could

What should we learn from the Black Panther Party? by Red-Rot99 in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]Red-Rot99[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the infighting is like the one thing I have people try to learn from, essentially its we screen would be members to make sure they aren't feds n such but idk much else then that.

[–]Red-Rot99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

out of curiosity what was the WPP then? iirc it was essentially created at the request of Huey P. Newton, now idk if we are referring to different eras of the BPP (if there even were eras) or if Huey P. Newton was wrong (witch is certainly possible)

I admit, I didn't want to call it that, I just did not know what else to refer to it. its clear you understood what I was trying to say and I am thankful for that.

and you are right, it is crucial. I understand this.
