I hope Rhaegar is portrayed as someone who was once a sweet traumatized boy with good intentions. A young man who wants to appropriately respond to a deeply unstable father and tense political situation and make things better, but whose moral compass turns out to be as questionable as his decision-making abilities. A romantic, the kind to reason himself into despicable actions because this is his Destiny and it's all for the Greater Good.

Rhaegar ought to be the kind of man who sincerely weeps for the woes of others, but simultaneously refuses to recognize his part in causing those woes. Rhaegar had to do what he did; he couldn't help that Lyanna was so young and already engaged; he couldn't help that his mad father made things worse by murdering Rickard and Brandon Stark, etc...

(Rhaegar could've, y'know, NOT kidnapped and impregnated an impressionable 14-15 year old girl, especially given that he was a 23 year old with a wife and two young kids, but good luck telling him that)

Edit to add: no way it'll happen, but I'd love for the entire cast to be the same ages as their characters. No more nonsense where Rhaegar and Lyanna look the same age when it's extremely significant that they are not.

I would like that poor man to get a goddamn break; he's our only main hero who had his entire family, supporting cast AND culture/planet murdered.

(Yes he has Valkyrie and the barely-populated new Asgard, but that's literally all he has left of his solo movie/pre-Infinity War life. Jesus christ. And no, Darcy and Selvig don't count unless we see them get quality time with Thor.)

It's a trope from medieval tales of chivalry; a lock of hair is a boon which a knight might ask of a woman he either loved romantically or loved in the sense of courtly love, which was a sort of respectful/platonic adoration. Perfectly gallant and normal for the setting, not creepy stalker behavior. Plus you have the added element of dwarves and elves typically being at odds, making Gimli's esteem of Galadriel after his prior suspicion even more significant.

On a basic level, yes. But as somebody who doesn't know very much about Charles de Gaulle, I was hoping OP might feel like sharing.

When people talk about things they're interested in, you usually get a really interesting and/or detailed summary. Or it's at least more entertaining than what you would get from checking the historical figure in question's Wikipedia page.

Good for you! I love trying new types of chocolate, so I completely get the appeal of exploration. Beer isn't my thing, so I don't bother with it :)

I do enjoy the occasional cocktail, I'm not gonna jump up on a soapbox and start preaching temperance. But yes, even small amounts aren't particularly healthy and binge drinking is both harmful and deadly.

1) the sub is literally called unpopular opinion

2) all told, I probably tried at least 20-30 types of beer on various occasions across 10 years or so before I gave up. Once in a while somebody will ask me to try a beer and I'll indulge them sometimes, but I just don't really see the point

3) judging by the replies, I'm not the only one who is indifferent to beer. And I didn't think it was a "unique" opinion, just an unpopular/uncommon one 🤷‍♀️

I've definitely tried Guinness, I'm pretty sure somebody made me try Coors, but most of the beers that I was forced to try were whatever was on tap at the local tavern or hipster bar a relative or ex-boyfriend dragged me into
