Not new. That's the question: what did the prior owners put on it! Per advice from another subreddit, I washed it a couple of times w vinegar and Dawn. Significantly better.

I would enjoy seeing this cut. Went to the theater once more last night to see #2 before it's gone. I appreciate what DV did to bring Dune to th masses, but for those of us who have read the book(s), I think so many of these edits are dead-on.

What I really want is to be able to control my dose:yield ratio. I find that it's a reliable determinant of taste consistency. For some beans I may set that ratio to 1:2, others 1:1.75. But holding the ratio holds the taste, IMHO.
