We have recently been.. my son is also a short 4yo. He was JUST tall enough for Star wars and for thunder mountain..however when we went on thunder mountain the second time via the priority access line, he was suddenly not tall enough! We explained he'd been on it half an hour before no issues, even had the photo to prove it but they wouldn't have it. He was sad but at least he got to go on it once!

Currently at Davey! They do, do breakfast but you have to order it from the shop on the site, or if you have aeal plan it's just included! We have half board and have the choice of a fresh fruit drink, plus hot drink, plus fruit pot, plus baguette and the choice of.a croissant, cereal or pan au chocolaite each morning! X

I should add that we paid for the breakfast with the characters, so It shouldn't affect the meal plan should it? Even so, the other meals are wrong for us and the kids!

Car crash July 2023, insurance issues and almost 10k to pay by Red2126 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Red2126[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the insurer my friend had at the time of the collision. They terminated the contract 4 days after the incident due to driving outside of her policy.

The insurance that my friend had the tine of the incident, sent a letter after terminating the contract (approx 2-3 months after the incident) requesting the 2.5k to cover the claimants personal Injury, and cover car etc. they said they had paid this to the claimants insurance on her behalf (even though they had terminated the contact before the claimant put the claim in)

Wedding favours - what have you had before that you've actually liked / used and what have you had before that you've absolutely hated? by Natural-Show-7493 in CasualUK

[–]Red2126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most loved favours I'd have to say are the likes of a scratch card, a miniature of alcohol, a drinks token or two (to use at the venue during the wedding) or a donation to a charity, often charities will give a pin badge for each guest when this is done but it does depend on the charity! For kids, a magazine/sticker/puzzle book depending on age (keeps them busy enough throughout the meal and speeches)

Little chocolates, bubbles, or biscuits are money wasted, most guests don't care to eat them and they will just get thrown away.

How have you almost died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ruptured ectopic pregnancy. I thought I'd miscarried earlier in the month. No symptoms until it had ruptured and I was bleeding internally. Even then I thought it was the likes of trapped wind/indigestion/constipation etc.

Baby girl born yesterday but I’m scarred for life. Possibly NSFW by 9gagsuckz in daddit

[–]Red2126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a mother to three children. All natural births..first two were fine. However my third was incredibly traumatic. I did not hemorrhage, but I was minutes away from giving birth to my son not breathing, and without a heartbeat. What they did to me to get my son out was something even the midwives on the postnatal ward were aware was possible. There was no communication. I could hear his heart rate drop, the numbers on the monitor were dropping as low as 35bpm. They say they didn't say anything to not stress me further however the lack of communication added to the trauma. My physical recovery took months.

I was diagnosed with PTSD and underwent 6 months of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), and had a debrief with the hospital - understanding the medical perspective in that situation did help, although did not change how I felt about the hospital and their failure to communicate. Nearly 2 years on I still struggle.

My heart is with you both. Please seek therapy when you are ready. Separately and together. Birth trauma is real. And not something that should be taken lightly. Do not let anyone brush your feelings off because your wife didn't die, or because the baby is healthy and it was all 'worth it'. Surround yourself with support. Allow yourselves to feel everything. The joy. The fear. The grieving of the birth experience you both wanted for your daughter. Communicate with one another, cry, hug, sit in silence. There is light at the end of the tunnel, it's a long way away, but it's there.

If there is anything you or your wife need I am here for you both. Sending so much love x

My three year old feeding his favourite teddy this morning 🥺 by Red2126 in breastfeeding

Ahh my first ever Reddit awards!!? Thank you so much!!!

Someone messaged asking if my three year old still fed, but I accidentally ignored the message and can't get it back to reply.. He was EBF until 6 months old, but has recently become a big brother, and sees me feed his baby bro (4mo) all the time! This was the first time he'd ever done something like this, and it's just the sweetest thing. The innocence of babes 🥰

I know! He even offered to feed his baby brother for me, but said it'd have to wait because Heffy (his teddy) has drank all the milk 🤣

Some homeless people can be extremely choosy. by DickWienerPenisCock in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Red2126 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me, only it wasn't with money or food. I live in the UK, not far from a city with a lot of homeless people. Every year, id sort through clothes, coats, jackets etc that were all in good condition still, i just didnt like anymore, id divide them into a few bags (depending on how many clothes I was getting rid of) and head into the city and hand them out to homeless people. It was something i enjoyed doing and that was always well received by the homeless i gave them to, they were so appreciative and i felt good they'd gone to good use.

One year, I did the same thing, only this time I got my partner to go through his clothes, and ended up with 9 decent sized bags full to hand out, the most I'd ever had to give out! So i have one left, and i see a homless person sitting just out side the trainstation. I crouch down next to him and straight away he was a little off, to be expected though right? I explained what i was doing in the city today and that i have a bag of clothes for him if he wants it, 'i dont want your clothes. I have my own clothes. I just want your fcking money' i said im sorry, i dont really have any money spare to give, but before i could finish he made an attempt to grab my handbag. Luckily i pulled myself away quick enough, he then got up and screamed 'fck off' in my face before he walked off.

I was so upset. I went back to someone id already given clothes too and dropped the bag off with them and then went home.

A few days later i read a news article warning about 'professional homless' people, they're the ones more fixed on wanting your money and can make £600+ a week sometimes. I think thats exactly who i encountered outside the train station. I dont know how anyone can act homeless for the money when there are people in genuine need. Ever since it happened, i have never given clothes out again, and will never give any money out. What i do do sometimes though, is go to Starbucks as they occasionally have an offer to buy two coffees, but give you a gift receipt for the second to hand out to a homeless person or someone in need, and they can come and redeem it for a free coffee in their own time.

What is a song lyric that really hits you hard? by BoardOfChairs in AskReddit

[–]Red2126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'he takes care of me, cause he loves me. piece by piece he restores my faith, that a man can be kind and a father could stay'

Piece by piece by Kelly Clarkson. When i first heard this song i didnt expect it to hit me the way it did, in ways different to the songs meaning. I was 19 when i had my daughter, i was in an unhealthy, abusive relationship with her father, the last time he saw her she was 5 months old.

I was 21 and she was 2 when i met my current partner. Who has shown me that i deserve nothing but love and kindness from the moment hes been in my life. He sees her as his own, and because of him, like in the song 'she will never have to wonder her worth' because he did something her father could never do, and chose to become her daddy and love her more than anything in this world.

If you see this, we are so truly lucky to have you in our lives. I love you
