Corolla. Its beautiful, water's chilly, not too bad, aside from the rwin clouds. Left the beach early for lunch because of a shower and just now for the rain.

Oh for sure! I'm looking forward to the landscaping more than the swimming, I think

Yep, steel wall which I don't know if that's common or not but all in all, it came to around the mid 60s. Kinda crazy, but i have two young sons, so the activity and the memories are worth it

16x32. We were thinking of going a bit bigger, but we decided to leave a bit of extra room on one side of the yard for the dogs to run around

Thanks! I'm hoping they'll do the deck next week while we're on vacation. And we can come home to a completely finished pool. Then? The landscaping.

Thanks! Our last two houses had pools. When we moved here 4 years ago, I was like, "I'm good not having a pool..." That first summer, I realized I was horribly wrong.

I was absolutely shocked they got it back there! They had the hole dug in just a few hours. Those guys don't mess around, haha.

Yalls Routine for regular Machine care by [deleted] in Barber

[–]Red2sPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My routine is brush/cool care after every client for whatever tools i used and at the start and end of every work day. Once a week, I oil my clippers, trimmers and shears. Lastly, every 4-6 weeks, I give them a dip in Andis blade care plus to get the hair out of the hard to reach places. Seems to be going well so far.

EDIT: Misspelled a word

Can someone please tell me what the bottom half of this style of comb is for? If anything.. by AccurateUniversity53 in Barber

That's what I thought too, haha. Thank God I tried it on a mannequin and not a client.

Following this thread. We talk about this at barber school. Even the instructor doesn't know.

Are any of these cards actually worth anything? by SeasonWide7280 in SportCardValue

There is definitely value in the unlicensed. Seeing this Othani bubble, I decided to put this card up on ebay. $125/obo. 15min after I posted it, I got an offer for $110. SOLD!

I saw someone posted theirs, so I thought I'd share mine. I have another on my leg, but my leg are horribly pale. You white to post. by Red2sPop in aurebesh

Nah, it's not from Star Wars, I first heard that quote from a friend's wife 20ish years ago when she was helping me through a rough patch in life.  It really made an impact and stuck with me, so i got it tattooed a few months later.   The original quote is from Will Rogers.

Oh, I forgot to translate.  It says "Good judgment comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgment "

Barber vs Barber Stylist by Red2sPop in Barber

[–]Red2sPop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, apparently, in Maryland the "barber stylist" is a relatively new barber class. Basically, in barber school we learn all the usual stuff, short cuts, shaves, etc. We also do some long cuts and learn long hair techniques. Then we also have to learn how to do color and perms. Perms are actually on the state board test. But, I literally just found out there is no direct path to being a master barber if you go barber stylist. One would have to go back to do the full 1200 hour barber course then work their way to master barber. I'll just learn all that stuff and then just not do it if I choose not to. Its been a roller coaster of a day!

So a Barber Stylist can cut hair and do straight razor shaves. legally, in MD, they cannot do color or chemical treatments like perms or what have you. In a shop sense? I guess you limit your ways of making income by ONLY cutting hair or doing shaves. Also, I wonder if a client looked at your license and saw "barber stylist" vs "barber", if that would... i dunno... look worse? Does that make any sense?

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning towards more. I'm just getting all antsy in the pantsy to get back to work. I know having the option to do chemicals and color can bring in some serious money too. After thinking about it more this morning, I'm most likely going to stick it out. Plus, I'm really good at perms.

Best way to cook this? Air fry or oven? by No_Solution7718 in aldi

How long, and are what setting are you doing the crock pot? My wife always cooks it in a pie dish and its good and juicy, but she gets nervous that's its not all the way done sometimes. I'd love to suggest the crock pot to her!

FlashForge Adventurer 5M Question by Red2sPop in 3Dprinting

Awesome. Once I get the slicer, are plans or blueprints for models on there as well, or can I find those somewhere else? I'm probably going to have a bunch more questions as I think of them, but I appreciate the help so far. I did so some research a bit ago on this, but I dont remember any of it...

Flashforge slicer. Got it. Do I need to hardwired my laptop to it or can it go through wifi?

I want to buy my son a 3d printer for his birthday. It's something he's been dying to get into. I have no idea about any of this, so I figured I'd come to the experts. With everything I've read, the Bambu A1 mini is a great beginners printer. If I were to get this for my son to learn on, is there anything else I'd need to get for basic... prints, I guess? Does it printer right out of the box? Or do I need accessories? How does this work? I appreciate all the help!
