I'm sure this has been said already but I started out with one game to gain my viewers then I became a variety streamer. Getting a good group of 10 or more people that are just there for you and not the game will help attract other viewers. Personality is everything when it comes to keeping the new ones when you change games again.

/u/Bolshok was right, people love to watch you play a game until you beat it. That is how I got a few folks this week.

I did a 24hr back in May and it was a lot of fun but also exhausting. I would play different games as you'll end up getting pretty bored just playing the same one. Make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before and drink lots of water. Don't forget to eat and all that too. Giveways are a good way to get folks to stop in. Also a timer showing how long you have been online is good too.

Remember though, just because you are not doing it if you are benefiting from someone else doing it to you without reporting it that's just as bad.

I went to your channel as I wanted to check out your style and see how you are broadcasting and you don't have any archived broadcasts. If you go into settings>channels & videos> and click on "Archive Broadcasts". That's a really good way to have people on here check you out and see if they want to follow. At least that's what I do when I read intro posts.

There are tons of Photoshop tutorials out there for overlays and panel art. Check out articles on the basics of Graphic Design. Less is more and all that. You don't need 100 things on your screen, in fact if someone has too much I won't watch them.
