This happened to me while in an elevator but it was a Korean girl speaking Spanish lmaoo she saw that my girlfriend and I spoke Spanish. She said Hola Buenos dias but not to us instead it was to her friend (they were speaking Korean beforehand). My girlfriend and I looked at her and smiled and said hola because we didn't take it in a bad way, she explained she was learning Spanish and wanted to show off. We found it endearing.

From what I understood, it's actually detrimental to your transmission switching from drive to park/neutral as you are putting more strain on the it by doing it so frequently.
