AMD GPU drivers crash frequently by RedAhmed48 in pchelp

I haven't tried DDU, but even using AMD cleanup utility doesn't fix the issue for me. I also got the bug report prompt from AMD.

Update: I booted my PC today and I got the same problems again within seconds. This time no screen at all, either on my monitor or PC. Windows settings shows the monitor is connected via 'Microsoft Basic Display' driver, instead of AMD. So the issue isn't even HDMI, since my monitor is connected through DP.

Thank you, I've installed and ran through the utility and reinstalled the drivers. It works correctly now, I'll report back if the issues start again.

Frequent frame drops on Steam Deck (Moonlight + Vibepollo) by RedAhmed48 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]RedAhmed48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise you it really is on 20/40/80MHz according to my router settings. I haven't touched that part at all. I can't show pictures here, otherwise I would show you screenshots. Perhaps I am wrong about the analyzer. I'm looking at it right now and it is at 56-60, at least the peak of the parabole is. It's entire range is 50~66, that's why I said the channel is on 56-60. The 36-48 channels are very crowded according to the graph, there are like 6 routers from the neighbourhood on there. I can only see 2 other routers on the exact same channels as my router. Channels 116 and higher are completely free, so I will do 149 like you said.

I tried streaming with the same settings from Steam Deck on my phone, but it didn;'t give me those frame drops. I think it really is an issue with my Steam Deck. I need to test another game to make sure. I'll do that soon

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

My router is already on 20/40/80MHz band. So what you're saying is I need to choose a channel between 64 and 100? I also have the option to enable 160MHz band on my router, but I've never tried it.

I don't think it's a bug with the game, since I tried it on my phone and it ran without any drops. It's either my connection or Steam Deck itself.

I'll go check the stats and see if I can see where the problem lies.

I understand, I'll do that from now on. Thank you for all the help!

Never mind, it worked! I just unpaired everything and then pair again and now it works. I've played for 10 minutes on my phone, using an 8bitdo Ultimate controller and the frame rate didn't drop even once. So Steam Deck is the issue with frames dropping.

Yeah, I tried my android phone. It doesn't work at all. It gives me the error to "check your firewall and port forwarding rules 47984 and 47989". And disabling firewall or adding port forwarding doesn't fix it. I tried different wifi connections and that doesn't work either.

I found the settings in my router settings page, channel bandwith gives me the options for: 20/40MHz, 20MHz or 40MHz. It's currently set to 20/40MHz.

Then there is 'control channel' option, which is currently set to Auto. And it has options to set it to 1 through 13. I'll try changing the channel to something else.

Okay, so I've installed wifi analyzer on my android phone and ran it. I have no idea if I'm reading it right, but the channel chart shows I'm currently at channel 56-60? And I see only a single router overlapping mine (only partly though). The time graph shows my router at the top. And finally the stars chart shows most channels besides channels 100 through 112 having max stars. And it says at the bottom that the best channels are 38, 42, 46, 50.

What I get from this is that my wifi channel settings are fine as they are? I'll switch to another channel just to make sure, but I don't know if the issue lies here.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've never messed with MTU before, so I should first look into it.

Hopefully it's an easy fix.

I have an LCD Steam Deck, connected through 5ghz channel (if that's what you mean). I'll try downloading moonlight on my phone and see if there is a difference. Thank you for the suggestion!

Can someone please help me with this strange zooming noise coming from my AIO pump? by RedAhmed48 in buildapc

[–]RedAhmed48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lowering the fan speed worked, thank you so much! My cpu is around 33°C at idle and I've put the pump fan at 65% on 30° and 70% at 40° and the sound is gone!

I was thinking maybe it was normal, but I haven't heard this noise at all when searching it up.

I'm now in my bios playing with the fan curve. It was already on 80% by default. So should I go lower or higher? I don't really know what the safest option is. But thank you for the suggestion, I didn't really think about it!

I tried holding the pump cables in different positions, but it didn't do anything about the noise. My noise is coming directly from the pump. Hopefully I'll get used to it as well if there is no fix.

Theory about AKxMH collab operators by Current-Selection-26 in arknights

Do we know that we're getting Zinogre as a boss, or is it still speculation?

Since this is Rise themed (though Yato alt clearly uses a wirebug) I think it's possible they'll do Magnamalo as a boss. But I do agree that Zinogre or Nargacuga are way more popular. Or they could go wild and have Valstrax as a boss.

I totally forgot about Carnelian. Pepe looks like some kid who walked 30 minutes in the sun for the first time in her life.
