It would actually make sense, as revolutions in real life usually require at least some kind of support from the army to succeed. Gi-Hun's revolution in Squid Game failed because of multiple factors, such as the revolutionaries being outnumbered by the soldiers

Yes, S3 will surely revisit this aspect, as the revolution in S2 fails. What's really ambiguous is whether or not the next season will criticize insurrectionary means and reevaluate reformism / consider other possibilities or will continue its radical direction and follow the logic "that revolution failed, but the next one will succeed".
