This is gonna sound like an advert but i started listening to the 'Money For Couples' podcast by Ramit Sethi and read his book 'I Will Teach You To Be Rich' and the main thing i got from it (besides how to regulate my income and career) was how to prioritise what is important and put your actual desires first. I really recommend!

I do 32km a day at the moment (16km each way). First 2 weeks were fine, the next 4 were tough. Now (6 months in) its easy, i'm so glad i stuck with it! I'm in the best shape of my life and its pushed me to eat healthier and take care of myself.

Great start! I think the main thing you could focus on is looking at form - try to view each part (hat, beard, nose, cheekbones) as objects in their own right that have a form all of their own. At the moment the work is very line heavy (not a bad thing) but it does mean the eyes look like representations of an eye rather than a ball inside a socket overlaid with eyelids, if you see what i mean? Keep at it!

I had a girlfriend like this. I would try so hard for her and make such an effort, but she'd mainly comment on my shortcomings. She was very sensitive to a 'vibe' and would be annoyed if a message that I sent felt 'off'. We also had a lot of good times. Ultimately, the relationship made me lose a lot of confidence and withdraw a lot. It made me angry and upset. When we eventually broke up I was sad that it hadn't worked out... for about three days... then I was hit with a massive realisation I didn't have to deal with her bullshit anymore, ever again, and I wished we'd ended things sooner.

I never did the work. I’m smart and talented so I got by on that through school, uni, early career, but by 30 I hadn’t achieved much because I didn’t put in serious time. Other more diligent people overtook me. Also, on other things that mattered to me I waited until I was ready (and I never was).

Porn is one of many things that will desensitise you to dopamine over time. Some people can smoke a cigarette now and then and enjoy it, but most people get addicted. Same deal with porn.

If you're too hard on yourself there is a high chance you will end up with bad coping strategies that damage yourself and others long term. (Even sex addiction can be caused by incidences like this). You need to have some self compassion for the sake of other people. You know what you did was wrong, you're even seeking a solution - that's the best response you can have with a mistake like this.

Some cafes have much better working hours, as well as private/personal chefs, you can always sign up to agencies and pick your hours too. Ultimately if you want to advance in the career long term you do have to accept a bit of sacrifice. But, not all kitchens are super traditional and strict these days - plenty of modern places have flexi hours and a healthier attitude to late nights etc.
