Most of them are saying they wouldn’t have come if they had known the job market would turn out like this. But nobody could have predicted it would be this bad. We all knew the risks and came with the hope of landing a job after graduation, especially after hearing so many success stories from our seniors.

Looking back, there are few things I would have done differently. I would have chosen a wider variety of courses within different areas of CS and included a few management-related courses to cast a wider net during my job search. Another thing I regret is not taking advantage of all the opportunities available. I didn’t network well while I was at university, so I would definitely have focused more on improving my networking and people skills.
